Getting Dressed with Wee Urban {Review and Giveaway}

We love dresses, boy do we love dresses. S has a closet full of tank dresses, short sleeve, long sleeve, and more. I feel like some days we have so many dresses we can't even decide which one to wear. S has a very intense love of her dresses and is very opinionated on which is an acceptable choice each day. I know that these dresses are all well loved and will be passed down to Baby C someday too.I recently was given the opportunity for S to review a dress from a company called Wee Urban. This made one little girl super happy, another dress to add to her beloved collection. This mommy couldn't wait to check out this company and see what they were all about.

Wee Urban, was started by a new mom who was looking to offer a unique and fresh collection of baby gear and accessories. While so many others offered the traditional pinks and blues, Wee Urban wanted to challenge parents with fun designs that were more sophisticated, while using organic alternatives that were functional and high quality. Wee Urban products use custom certified organic cotton blends, low impact dyes, and many other trendsetting fabrics while being phthalate free. While some products are hand made in Canada, Wee Urban also has products made overseas (all partners are ISO regulated, fair trade certified, and comply with regional safe working practices and safety standards), this helps support local economies and allow them to expand their charitable efforts with non profit organizations such as Kiva Loans.

After sending in our top three choices, I was so excited to hear that our Wee Urban package was on its way. The two items I did not get were:

These are both adorable and when I didn't get these, I was thrilled because that meant I got my favorite of all the Wee Urban items and my first choice for S!

Inside I found a neatly wrapped item and some Wee Urban literature. The business card had all of the President and Co-Owner's information and email, this is a nice touch. This means that Holly is standing behind her products and willing to help and share her company with us. The larger card had pictures and information about many of the baby products they offer.

My neatly wrapped package was so exciting. I fell in love with this item when I found it and knew that it would be perfect for my girl. The Cotton Bamboo Dress in Peacock.

This dress is adorable. S could not wait to get it out of the package and hold it up to see it. She calls the peacock a "peahawk", so that is what we go with. I loved the turquoise color, it really brings out S's bluish green eyes and makes them pop. I also love, love the design. Peacocks are such beautiful birds and you do not see them used on clothing very often, if ever, and the design is hand printed. The dress is made of 66% rayon from bamboo and 28% cotton, with a touch of spandex, it is super soft and comfortable, no itchy fabric here.

This dress comes in four styles-owls, elephants, giraffe, and peacock from sizes 2T-5T. S is a bit on the smaller size, but we went with the 5T to give her time and room to grow into. When the dress is a bit smaller, it will also make a great tunic with leggings too. It is also machine washable and dryer safe--great news for busy moms everywhere and for little girls who can't wait to wear it as soon as it is clean.

S had to get this dress on as soon as she got out of the shower. She was ready to go to school in her brand new "Peahawk" dress. We paired it with an aqua colored headband to make the perfect match and silver flip flops. I love the girliness of the ruffled neckline and cap sleeve look, it is also slightly gathered in the back. She loved how comfy she felt in her dress while still looking fancy.
