Winter Warmup with City Creek Candle Review and Giveaway

Winter is still in full swing around Central Indiana and with another snow storm on the weekend forecast, I am really dreaming of warm and tropical places. My husband and I, along with our best friends, are planning a trip for late fall to somewhere beachy so I have something to help with my dreams. I also have been using a great product in our house with a great scent to also assist in setting the mood.

City Creek Candles was created to provide candles and wax melts that are made with the finest fragrance, wax, and wicks available. They are named after their hometown mountain stream from the Wasatch Mountains in Salt Lake City and candles are poured in the US.

Many of you know that companies have chosen to "go flameless" for a number of reasons, safety being first and foremost. City Creek Candles is a sister line to Candle Warmers Etc., which was created on the principle of safe candle usage. In 2001, the founder of Candle Warmers Etc. brought the first plate-style warmer out in response to a neighbor's own home loss due to a fire (started by a candle flame). While City Creek Candles offers both flame and non-flameless candles, the company's overall philosophy is of practicing safe candle sense, you can visit here for many other candle safety resources.

I worked with Kim, who offered to send me my choice of one Candle Warmer from the Candle Warmers Etc. Line and one wax melt from the City Creek Candles Line. I quickly went to work looking through the online catalogs to see what would be the best options for our house. I first browsed the Candle Warmers catalog to pick a warmer that would fit best in our kitchen. I love having candles in the kitchen because our house is pretty open and the scents travel into our sitting room, breakfast area, laundry, and dining room. I was blown away by all the unique warmers, I had a really hard time selecting just one.

I really liked this:
While this is an awesome one, I knew it wouldn't really work in the kitchen, so I kept looking. I easily found something perfect.

I then browsed the City Creek Candles catalog to find the perfect wax melt to go along with the warmer I had chosen. I knew the scents would be a hard choice too, because they have such an assortment, from citrus to floral to woodsy, they have it. I told you I was needing some warm inspiration so I chose something from the "Sea & Sand" fragrance. I finally let Kim know what would be the best products for what I was looking for, she checked the stock and had it shipped out quickly.

My City Creek Candles package is here!
I let B help open the package up because he was so interested in what it could be. I did prep him that it was not something a 7 year old boy would really enjoy, but that mommy would be happy. He quickly discovered that I was correct.
The Plug In Fragrance Warmer retails for $9.99, which is a really affordable price for something that can be used over and over again with different wax melts. It features a ceramic body, warming bulb that quickly melts one ounce of wax to emit the fragrances, and a plug assembly for quick on/off. It has no flame, no smoke, and no soot, making it safe and a great choice for all homes.

The Wax Melts come in both 2 ounce or 4 ounce options, retailing for $3.49 and $5.49. Again, these affordable prices are a huge hit and are competitive to what you can find in retail stores. The wax is scented and comes in a variety of choices.

The Pebblestone Warmer is a great shade of red that perfectly matched the tiles in our backsplash. It has some simple, yet eye catching detail in the ceramic design as well. I am very impressed with it and even my husband commented on how nice it looked.

The Tahitian Sunrise scented wax melts are amazing. It is a great combination of tropical fruits and coconut. It is not overpowering but gives a great feel to being somewhere warm and beachy, exactly what I am needing. The 2 ounce size has 6 individual chunks to use, they last quite awhile too.

The light brightly shines through the small holes and provides a nightlight sense too.

A quick video review too!
