GalloLea Pizza Kits- A Perfect Addition to Our Friday Family Fun Night. #Review and #Giveaway

One of our family’s favorite events is Pizza Night. At least one Friday a month, we grab a pizza and a movie and just relax, celebrating the beginning of our weekend. I don’t know why, but pizza just seems to be one of those foods that everyone loves. Even I love pizza, and I am one of those weirdos that does not like cheese! Pizza also seems to be the traditional go to dish for almost every party I’ve ever been to.  Even when we attend birthday parties for our girls’ friends and other children in our life, pizza seems to be the go to food to serve!
I was so excited to come across GalloLea and their pizza kits. Both of our girls, Drew especially, love being in the kitchen and cooking. The pizza kits from GalloLea would let us enjoy two of our favorite things together, cooking and pizza! I had a feeling the pizza kits would be a perfect fit for our family!

The pizza kits arrived safely, via USPS, and included 2 whole wheat pizza kits and 1 BBQ whole wheat pizza kit. Drew was very excited to open the box, and even more excited once she realized whatwas inside! In addition to the pizza kits, there was an informational insert (talking about the types of kits available and what you will find in a kit) and fundraiser cards (highlighting the company’s fundraising program).

Drew, checking out our goodies from GalloLea!

Our review products from GalloLea... don't they look great?
I love the idea of a GalloLea pizza kit fundraiser! It is different than your more typical fundraisers that sell knick knacks that I really don’t need. It is also a healthier option than cookie or chocolate/candy fundraisers because GalloLea pizza kits come with either Gluten Free, Whole Wheat, or Low Sodium crusts. I will be bringing the option of a GalloLea fundraiser up at the next Parent Teacher Group meeting at Drew’s school!

Pizza kit fundraisers... a delicous idea!
We saved our pizza kits to try out on January 31st, since we follow a monthly menu. It was a  great way to end the week and the month! We made the whole wheat pizza and the BBQ whole wheat pizza. We have a double over, so we were able to cook both pizzas at the same time, and the entire process took about 30 minutes total from start to finish. Each kit included the sauce and crust mix to make a 12-inch pizza as well as a round, high-temperature cooking paper to build and cook it on  The girls added cheese and pepperoni to their whole wheat pizza while Matt and I opted to add just cheese to the BBQ whole wheat pizza.

Mixing the dough...

After mixing the dough and letting it sit for 10 minutes, Drew and Reese flattened it on the pizza paper and added their toppings.

Drew was pretty great at flattening the dough on the pizza paper.

The girls pizza goes into the oven!

They could barely wait, and kept checking what was going on! Don’t worry, Daddy was standing right next to the girls, we just cropped him out of the picture :-)

While the pizza was still in the oven, I took the time to update my food diary on the MyFitnessPal app.I was glad to see that a fellow MFP user had added the nutritional information for GalloLea’s whole wheat and gluten-free pizzas. The calories are pretty low, in my opinion, for such a substantial serving (160+calories from toppings for about ¼ of the whole wheat pizza and 181+calories from toppings for about ¼ of the BBQ whole wheat pizza) .

I will say that I was pretty nervous about how the girls (and my husband really) would respond to whole wheat pizza. We buy whole wheat bread all of the time, but have never had whole wheat pizza before and my girls can be fairly picky at times.  I was sure I would enjoy it, but GalloLea definitely passed the test when both girls and my husband were asking for seconds and then thirds! The girls enjoyed the whole wheat pizza a great deal. I did try a piece and thought it was pretty fantastic myself.  My husband and I thought the BBQ whole wheat pizza was simply amazing. I think the only way to make it better is to have additional toppings on hand, other than the cheese. I wished that we had some chicken to use as a topping and Matt thought that it might also taste good topped with some ham and pineapple.

The GalloLea Pizza kits are a great item to have on hand, and I am planning on replenishing our supply as soon as possible. I think they would also serve as a great gift item for a new mom who does not have a ton of time to make a meal, a pre-teen who is expressing an interest in cooking, or even for a younger child who enjoys spending time with a parent in the kitchen! You could also use them for a child’s birthday party and have the attendees team up with their families and make their own pizzas! And of course, these would be the perfect items for a school or sport fundraiser!

  27. It really is a remarkable internet promotion strategy to get important worth for the non-income providing shopping center. The particular builders typically start endorsing the position a couple of months or else decades just before design actually will become. construction companies san francisco
