For centuries, the earth has been protected by a supernatural guardian named Gosei and his robotic aide, Tensou. Our Thoughts...
We actually shared this release with our cousin Connor, who is soon-to-be nine years old. He's really into martial arts, and just so happpens to love the Power Rangers. The episodes in this visually stunning compilation feature the Power Rangers- five seemingly ordinary teens who don their masks, and morph into defenders of the Earth, 'Earth defenders, never surrender!' There are a whole lot of evil forces for the Rangers to protect the Earth and its people from, and they do a great job.
From a kid's perspective, this collection is 'awesome,' and 'cool' and the blue ranger is super smart! It's action-packed, and makes kids want to help each other out and save the world! Connor was very, very excited to receive the Power Rangers Megaforce: Ultimate Team Power DVD, and couldn't wait to watch it!
From a grown-up's perspective (i.e. mine,): This is a fun series for older boys. There is a war going on as the whole thing gets going, so there is moderate violence (though not at all graphic). The graphics are pretty cool, the costumes are really nicely done, and the acting as good as you'd expect for this sort of show, considering the age group it's aimed toward. The overall messages, of course are that evil never wins, good prospers, and there is a big message that as a whole, we should be working together. Teamwork is important, and everyone us a part of the team, playing an important role. There are a lot of references to the old Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which came on when I was just a girl, in elementary school! This is a great way to mark the 20th Anniversay of the Power Rangers francise! I'm sure my own son will be totally into Power Rangers when he's a little older.
