MBP's Back to School Blast

It's Back to School time (are you sick of hearing us say that yet?), and we're back to ca-razy schedules around here. I am having a hard time keeping all of our stuff straightened out, and by the end of each day, we're downright exhausted from work, volunteering and being parents to a rambunctious three-year-old boy. For our family, evenings are the only time we really get to sit down together. More and more, we're coming together on the weekend nights to hang together, and veg out while we play a game, or watch a movie. Gotta love family togetherness!

We have a bad habit, though, of snacking on terrible stuff- like sweets! I have a serious sweet tooth, and love brownies, so you can imagine what that'll do to a girl's waistline. When I was offered the opportunity to sample some of Kernel Season's popcorn seasonings, I was in!

Pop-to School Pack from Kernel Seasons

We were sent a fabulous package of eight different sprinkle-on seasonings, two butter flavored add-ins, popping corn and a bag of microwave popcorn from Kernel Season's. I never knew that so many different popcorn seasoning flavors existed! I was excited to look through the seasonings to see what types of flavors we would be experiencing in the coming weeks!

Caramel and Dark Chocolate Caramel Seasonings

Okay- so these sweet seasonings are so delicious! These are right up my alley, especially since I have a sweet tooth! With these yummy flavors, I actually get my sweet craving fix, while being kind to my waistline. Balian was eager to try the 'chocolate popcorn' and it has become one of his favorite snacks! I can't blame the kid... what's not to love about chocolate popcorn?

Garlic Pamesan, White Cheddar and Kettle Corn Seasonings

These three just happpen to be my husband's favorite flavors! He was so excited- he didn't know what to try first! Little by little, he tried these flavors and he said they're all delicious, but the Garlic Parmesan was the clear winner of this bunch. I happen to love kettle corn, so that one is in my top three favorites!

Bacon Cheddar, Nacho Cheddar and Ranch

These flavors are pretty interesting. I actually like the Ranch seasoning, and I'm not usually a huge fan of ranch. Hubby loves the Bacon Cheddar flavor and the super cheesy taste of the Nacho Cheddar, too! I can't imagine many guys turning down the Bacon Cheddar popcorn seasoning!

Movie Theatre Butter flavor and Popcorn Spritz

We've tried both the Movie Theatre Butter pour-on flavoring, and the Popcorn Spritzer, Butter flavor. They were both super yummy! The movie theatre butter flavoring was definitely comprable to what you'd get at the movies- we ate that up pretty quickly! The butter spritz was light and added just a little hint of flavor. The nice thing about all of these flavors and seasonings, is that you can add as much or as little as you like- to tailor the experience to your liking!

We're in deep like with these delicious sprinkle on seasonings. We actually really love popcorn, and we do snack on it much more often than we have sweet treats. We love spending time together as a family, with a nice big bowl of popcorn to share. Now that we have so many different flavor options, however, we've each been making our own small bowls, individually flavored! Balian couldn't be happier than to have his very own little man bowl of popcorn to snack on!

Did you know that popcorn is a great anytime snack? Popcorn is lowfat, and high in antioxidents! It's great to enjoy at home, on the go, at a family picnic or party, packed as a health snack for school, after school, etc! I was thinking of having popcorn at Balian's birthday party, and now that we have all of these delicious seasonings, I'm going to serve flavored popcorn! What a fun treat that will be for the kids and our adult guests!
