I've been thinking about starting a MOPS organization in my community. MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and is a support group for moms in a Christian atmosphere. There is a hefty start-up cost, and fee for each group member, and I'd love to be able to raise some funds to cover some of the cost, to make it more affordable for group members to join.
Creating my custom Tee was easy!
I started out by selecting a t-shirt color, and then used the tools to select a font, font color and text size. Next, I added my text, and for this example, I used MOPS. There were all sorts of fun fonts and colors to choose from. I figured moms would be okay with purple and pink! I also could have uploaded my own artwork, or selected a design from Teespring's library.
Next, I set my sales goal.
The next screen allowed me to easily set a sales goal. If I wanted to sell 50 shirts at $10.50, my profit would be $109.00 to cover start-up costs and membership dues. That would be direct profit, which would go right to me (for the organization), and there would be no middle man involved. If I wanted to make more money, I would just adjust the price to suit our sales goal needs.
I set my own pricepoint, and the great thing is that nothing is printed until your minimum goal is met. There are no upfront costs, no ordering one hundred t-shirts and crossing your fingers that they'll be purchased! Shipping costs are pretty standard, and reasonable- nearing about $5.00 if you're in the US.
Set up a campaign description...
On the screen that followed, there were places for me to name my campaign by giving it a proper title. There was also space for me to write out a detailed description of what the campaign was all about and why we were trying to raise funds. Lastly, there was a box asking me to select a campaign length, where I could specify how long I wanted to make my t-shirts available for sale. I also selected a custom URL for my campaign, which is the link I will use to direct others to my campaign.
Campaign Preview- this is what buyers would see...
Before I set anything in stone, I clicked the preview button, so I would be able to catch a glimpse of what others would see when viewing my campaign. I checked the design of the shirt, the campaign information, and the price to be sure that I was ready to launch the campaign and invite my friends to view it and purchase my custom t-shirt.
After a campaign is set up, if the seller is satisfied, all that's left to do is launch the campaign, and share it with friends, family, and anyone else you'd like to invite to participate. Teespring makes sharing easy through e-mail and social media sites, too!
