Essential8 #Review and #Giveaway

Part of the MBP Pregnancy & Newborn Reviews
**Since we at MBP like to bring an assortment of things to our readers, it makes sense that we offer a range of pregnancy and newborn items right now. We searched around for some of the best companies we could find and we have been blessed with some amazing products.**
Newborn baby skin is very fresh and extra sensitive to everything. As I expected, baby C, with going through a million diapers in the first few weeks of life, developed some diaper rash. With my other two, I had my standby, a spray that was easy to apply, prevented and treated rashes, and was easy to find. It is no longer available and I was not happy. I liked everything about it, including that it wasn't full of random ingredients that I could not identify. I didn't know what I was going to do until I was contacted by a company who produces natural products for home and body.
Essential8, based in Central New York, is an Etsy Shop dedicated to providing high quality, natural products for the home and family. Sarah is the owner and creator of Essential8 and also a wife and mom. When her daughter had some skin issues, she set out to find something, and after reading many personal care product labels she was completely overwhelmed with what she found. She started combining essential oils with high quality, organic, all natural ingredients to provide people with healthier options for themselves and their homes.
Sarah decided on the name Essential8 because she wanted to keep things simple. Her goal in creating her handmade products is to use 8 ingredients or less and ingredients that are only beneficial and necessary. She also only uses pure essential oils in her recipe, no artificial fragrances of any kind. I don't know about you, but I can't stand fake smells, especially in baby products.
Sarah is very friendly and passionate about her company. She wanted to make sure to choose baby items for us to showcase in our Pregnancy/Newborn feature. She quickly sent her items and made sure to follow up that we had received them. Many Etsy stores I have purchased from don't take the time to make sure their customers know like Sarah did, I appreciated that a lot. Essential8 is a 5 star Etsy shop and has more than 50 positive reviews after just one year, so they are well on their way to providing healthy, sustainable, and eco-friendly products.
Our Essential8 package is here!

Safely packed so no damage can occur.

Can't wait to see what is all here!

We found a variety of products from Essential8, a New Baby Gift Set (including organic cotton reusable wipes, Tidy Tushies Diaper Spray, and Healing Diaper Salve). All individually packed and included a thank you note card that also included the Essential8 Facebook and Pinterest links.

My first Essential8 product was the Healing Diaper Salve. It retails for $8.50 for a 2 ounce container.
"This herbal salve is perfect for assisting with dry, irritated or chapped skin, rashes, diaper irritations, and other skin disorders. This gentle salve is a Vaseline-like consistency. Dried herbs including Calendula, Chamomile, Lemon Balm and St. John's Wort are hand infused into skin-friendly oils. Each herb included in this mix is well known for its healing properties. Ingredients include Olive, Safflower and Fractionated Coconut Oil infused with Organic Calendula, Organic Chamomile, Organic Lemon Balm and Organic St. John's Wort, Organic Shea Butter, Beeswax and/or Candelila Wax, Cocoa Butter, Avocado Butter, Neem Oil, Lavender, Tea Tree and Roman Chamomile Essential Oil Blend. The scent is very mild."

I was very pleased with the Healing Diaper Salve. It comes in a cute little round tin, beautifully labeled, and easy to open. It is filled almost to the top, so no skimping on product. You are immediately greeted with a mild, fresh scent that you know is natural. It is incredibly easy to use and apply. It absorbs quickly after application as well. When I change baby C's diaper, I apply a little to her chubby crevices that are irritated and by next diaper change seems happier. It does not seem to stain the clothes either, which is sometimes a worry. I have been quite happy with my new diaper salve, especially since I can no longer find my old standby!
My second Essential8 product was the Tidy Tushies Concentrated Wipes Solution. It retails for $11 and comes in an 8 ounce container to make a full gallon of wipe solution.

"This gentle and all-natural cloth wipe concentrated solution contains no alcohol, sulfates or artificial fragrance.

Dilution instructions are clearly described on the bottle. The scent is a light blend of lavender and tea tree. All natural ingredients include: saponified organic oils of coconut, olive and jojoba, distilled water, baking soda, aloe vera and essential oils."
I really like the Tidy Tushies a lot. It is in a great, easy to use metal spray bottle with a clear to read label. It is so simple to make, I just add 1 tablespoon of solution in to a cup of hot water and let cool. The fragrance is so sweet and refreshing, it reminds me of something fruity but not fake. I can then spray my new solution right onto baby C's bottom and wipe clean with a dry cloth, no need to use wipes. This is so gentle and freshens up the whole room, not just baby C. I love the fact that one 8 ounce container makes a whole gallon of solution too, saves me money while being environmentally friendly, plus no wipes fake smell either.
My third Essential8 product was the Reusable Organic Cotton Wipes. They retail for different prices, depending on how many you order.

"100% pure organic cotton flannel wipes are approximately 6.5 x 8 inches. Finished with a serged edge so they won't unravel. Simply throw them in the washer and dryer and reuse them over and over."

I LOVE this wipes! First, they come all wrapped up with a sweet little ribbon. Even before I washed these, they were super soft, but after washing they just got softer. They held up really well through washes too. They are thin but not too thin, which is perfect for wiping small areas. I am using them with the Tidy Tushies and the combo has been great for baby C's skin, I think it looks better than the other two at that age.

Essential8 also carries household products and other body products which I am sure are just as wonderful as the baby products we received.
