I never really imagined that a bunch of fun-loving, adorable Cars characters would invade my home and make such a fanatic of my toddler... but alas, they have! When we made the switch from the crib to the toddler bed with Balian, it still seemed all sorts of baby cute, and I wondered if he would sleep in there. I wanted to make everything in his room as 'big boy' as possible, and knew that changing his bedding would be a big part of his bedroom makeover. I searched high and low for the perfect toddler bedding set to match his race car themed room, and found myself hanging out with a familiar friend.

I had the pleasure of working with NoJo last summer, on a review of one of their baby crib bedding sets, which we truly loved and enjoyed in Balian's nursery. The packaging kept the bedding protected and showed great images of all of the pieces included.

Balian was having a particularly bad morning the day his new Disney Cars toddler bedding set arrived from NoJo, but as soon as he saw the bedding package, his eyes lit up. He ran to the coffee table, touching the package, begging to open it up to see what was inside!

'Is that Lightning McQueen, mommy?'

'Let's open this! Come on!'

The NoJo Disney Cars Toddler Bedding Set included four pieces- a quilted comforter or bedspread, a flat sheet, fitted sheet and pillowcase. This is a soft, microfiber bedding set and each piece features characters and designs from the Cars movies, which of course, Balian absolutely loves. I stripped off his old bedding, and quickly dressed it with the new set. Balian was pretty eager to get into his bed to test it all out.

The pillow and matching comforter are really neat. They feature bold red and blue colors, and capture Lightning McQueen and a few of his friends, racing to victory! Balian was especially glad to see that his favorite rusty tow truck, Tow Mater, was also on the comforter with Lightning. The comforter is lightly filled, so it provides warmth and that bit of weight that Balian likes to have on him while he sleeps, but he doesn't get overly warm in the middle of the night.

The fitted sheet fits the toddler mattress quite well, and is nice and silky soft. I knew B would have no problem sleeping on top of it. I was a little bit worried about the fitted sheet, because Balian wasn't used to sleeping under a sheet. I explained to him that big boys and girls, and mommies and daddies usually sleep with a sheet, and showed him the light blue colored flat sheet with the Lightning McQueen and Mater characters on it. That was pretty much all he needed to give it a go, and we haven't had a single issue with it.

Reversible pillowcase

I love the pillowcase! It's just as soft and comfy as the sheets, and it's reversible! One side features our favorite pal- Lightning McQueen, and the other side features Mater, Guido and Luigi! We have a lot of fun before bedtime, asking Balian which side of the pillow he wants to sleep on. He has been loving the pillowcase so much, that he insisted that we bring it with us on our beach trip, and it's been going with him to grammy and papa's house when he spends the night over there.

Fits right in with some of the decor we already had...

I had already picked up a few Disney Cars odds and ends for Balian's room, and I was super pleased that the NoJo bedding set tied right in with the items we already had. It matched with the new wall color in B's room, and coordinated with a throw blanket and accent pillow I had picked up a few days earlier.

Favorite place to play...

I have a hard time keeping Balian's bed made, because it's now one of his favorite places to chill out and play. He loves climbing into his bed to lay down and rest, to read some of his favorite books, to play with his stuffed pals. I'm happy that he loves his new NoJo bedding set so much. Having bright, bold characters right on his bedding, is a great way to get him into his bed. He hardly ever fights us at bedtime anymore, and is happy to go to his own room to lie down and go to sleep in his bed, rather than having to fall asleep in our bed. He's been sleeping through the night much more often since we received this set, which means that my husband and I have been getting much needed sleep, as well!

All of the pieces of this bedding set have been machine washed and tumbled dry on a low setting without any issues, which makes me a happy mom!
