I know, I know. You've started seeing back to school ads on television, and you're about to start seeing back to school products here at MBP, too. We've still got a few weeks left of summer vacation, before the school bells start ringing, but we're already preparing ourselves for the big send-off!

Earlier this year, we were lucky enough to work with Cool Gear, a company specializing in super cool BPA-Free water bottles and cool containers. Cool Gear strives to revolutionize the 'green movement,' with hopes of eventually eliminating plastic bottle waste. We're teaming up with Cool Gear yet again, to show off their wonderful new Cool Gear Can, a double-insultaed bottle that works like a water bottle, and looks like a can!

The Cool Gear Can has lots of features we love, and is available in a variety of colors and patterns! The product has a double wall of insultaion, which keeps drinks colder for a longer period of time. I love that when I use my Cool Gear products by pouring a cold drink into them, that same drink is still cold an hour later- no ice packs needed. The Cool Gear Can has a wide screw top mouth with lid, which makes it easy to pour your beverage into the container.

We received the Rad Plaid design, in a 16 oz size. I loved the cute design, and Balian was eager to check out this cool 'can.' He isn't normally allowed to drink from a can, but this one is super safe for kids!

No sharp edges...

Since the 'can' is plastic, I don't have to worry about Balian geting cut, or what might happen if he sticks his finger through the tab opening. One of my worst fears has been Balian getting a hold of a soda can and getting cut. I've been crazy about being after family members who leave soda cans where little hands can grab them.

One of the best features of this nifty can, is that the tab actually slides, allowing you to open and close it with ease. You can't close the opening on a real can, which makes it hard for you to take it with you in the car. I don't like taking cans outside during the summertime, for fear of a bee going inside of the can. With this cool can, you can slide it closed, so there is no need to worry about bugs being after a sweet beverage. The Cool Gear Can is spill-proof, so if it's closed, there won't be any leaking. I put it to the test by filling it with lemonade, closing it up, turning it upside down, and there were no leaks or spills to be seen.

The side of the Cool Gear Can features facts and fun info about the can, and what you can do with it. It's set up to read like an actual soda can, which is pretty clever and cute!

The kid loves this thing...

Balian is so thrilled to have a cool can that he's actually allowed to drink out of! The 12 oz size would be a bit more appropriate for his little dude hands, but for now, this one has B's name all over it! I can slide the tab closed to where there is just a tiny opening for the beverage to come through, so Balian can only get little sips at a time, which is perfect. This way, we don't wind up with a huge spilled mess, or a child choking on too much liquid. You can also purchase straws that can be used with the Cool Gear Can for sipping with ease! I am a big fan of straws!

Even Mommy loves the Cool Gear Can!

Eventually, I got my own turn with the Cool Gear Can, and have to say that I do really love it! Now I'll be taking beverages from the house in my Cool Gear Can, instead of winding up thirsty and heading for a soda machine when we're out and about during the day. I love that this product actually works, and does what it claims to do- it keeps your drinks cold. You can easily fill these with ice, and expect your drink to stay cool for up to six hours! Plus- it's dishwasher safe, and easy to clean! Way to go, Cool Gear! We give this new product two thumbs up!
