Reaches Beaches Roundy Towel (Review & Giveaway)

The temperatures are warming back up here in NC, after a little cooler weather over the weekend. I'm glad for this, because we're heading to the beach in ten days, and I want it to be nice and warm . I am already trying to start making a packing list, and getting a few things together that I know we'll want to take with us on our trip. Starting the packing process early saves my sanity, and helps me to remember the things we really need to bring along.

As I started thinking through beach gear, I knew we would need some new beach towels. I hate paying a ton of money fo flimsy beach towels that only one person can fit on. Now that we have an active toddler to keep an eye on while on the beach, we need to be sure we have a large towel that provide us a place to lounge and dry off.

I connected with Reaches Beaches a few weeks ago, and they offered to send me one of their unique Roundy Towels to try out. The Roundy Towel is a 60" round beach towel. It is shaped like a beach ball, which sort of just adds to the overall fun. I knew this towel would be great for us to use on our beach trip, but we couldn't wait that long, and dcided to test it out at home, first.

As I removed the Roundy Towel from its packaging, I was impressed by the soft, thick fabric of the towel. I took notice of the little card that came with my Roundy Towel, right away. I was glad to see it, because it explained why there where colored ribbons attached to the towel. The ribbons help you to be able to easily lay the towel down flat, pick it up and shake the dirt or sand free, and you can even use it as a shoulder strap to carry the towel, hands-free!

We couldn't wait to try out the Roundy Towel, and my son begged me to lay it out on the dining room floor, so he could explore. We used the ribbons to sort of get the towel down flat on the floor, quickly and evenly. Once we got it all smoothed out, we couldn't believe how big the towel really was! B immediately jumped on the towel, and laid down on it. He wasted no time claiming it as 'his' towel.

The RoundyTowel is great for all sorts of activities- certainly going to the beach, picnics, playing outside, etc. We headed outside with our Roundy Towel on a pretty hot day, and first used it to protect Balian's legs from the hot front walk way, while we drew with sidewalk chalk. He enjoyed having a comfy place to sit while he worked on some drawings.

Next, we headed to the backyard with out Roundy Towel. We do have outdoor furniture in the yard, but it's sort of in the shade, which isn't right next to Balian's sandbox. I spread out the towel next to the sandbox, so Balian could play, and so I had a dry and comfortable place to sit and read, while Balian played in the sand. I liked that I was on the ground- closer to B's play level, just in case.

I love that the Roundy Towel shakes free of sand and dirt when you use the nifty ribbon strap to lift it from the ground. I've washed our towel a couple of times, like I would any other towel, in our washer and on a medium heat setting in the dryer. If the Roundy Towel is wet, and you want to hang it on a fence, or balcony railing at the beach or lake house, just use the strap... it won't blow away!

We love our Roundy Towel, and we can't wait to see how it performs when we're at the beach in a few days! I'm already dreaming of lounging on this awesome towel, and reading a few books while the boys dig a big hole in the sand. We've been considering a community pool membership for the summer months, and I know that the Roundy Towel will be great to have for day trips to the pool. Not only can it cover the ground, but it would also fully cover a lounge chair, protecting our skin from the hot plastic! Roundy Towels can be used anywhere, so take it wherever your travels take you this summer!
