Inspiring Messages for Kids of All Ages: Be You, Be True (#Review & Giveaway)

I am a lot of different things. I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mom, a singer, a writer, a blogger, a friend, a shopaholic, a foodie, a reader, a gardener, and much more than I could list for you here. I have always been the type of person who was never afraid to be myself, or to chase my dreams. I've done a number of things I always hoped to do, like go to college, be a published writer, record an album, have my music be played on Christian radio, get married, have a baby, go on a cruise, be featured in a magazine, meet a celebrity, and (again) more! There's no sense in me trying to be someone I'm not, because God made special, just the way I am.

Be You, Be True is changing the way we choose to look at ourselves as adults, and helping to encourage children to be just who they already are. Being true to ourselves isn't always easy, especially in a day and age where peer pressure and bullying seem to be out of control. I have had the great pleasure of working with Karen, and can tell you very truly that she is incredibly passionate about her family, her business, caring for the environment, and building confidence in ALL children. Karen offered to send us a little sampling of a couple of Be You, Be True products to experience these inspirational messages for ourselves, and we were delighted when our package arrived!

My special goodies from Karen...

When Karen and I first chatted about working together on a review, I had mentioned that having Balian review one of the children's t-shirts would be great, and that maybe an adult shirt would be cute, too. I had no idea that sweet, thoughtful Karen was going to send me such an incredible package of all sorts of Be You, Be True products!

Overwhelmed by Karen's thoughtfulness...

Karen not only sent us some fabulous items, she had some of those items personalized, just for me! We received a Be a Superhero kids T-Shirt for Balian, a Be You, Be True Original Women's T-Shirt, a Be a Reader Necklace, a Be Faithful personalized Tumbler, and a personalized note card set, and notepads.

Our Be You, Be True t-shirts...

I didn't know what I wanted to look at first! I knew that Balian would be interested in his new t-shirt, so I went for those before I looked at anything else. Both t-shirts were nicely rolled up and tied with a cute black and white ribbon. These shirts are part of a wonderful line of t-shirts, which are 100% cotton, and available in a variety of colors and sizes for women and children. The women's shirts are fitted, and the kids shirts are a relaxed fit. There are many different characters and sayings, like 'Be Determined,' 'Be an Alien,' 'Be Loved, 'Be a Sole Sister,' etc.

The t-shirts are light and comfy on both myself, and on Balian. His is roomy, because it's a size larger than he wears now, which is actually perfect- he won't outgrow it before the end of the summer! These t-shirts are perfect for wearing out and about, sharing positive messages without having to give a speech, or for lounging in at home.

Be a Reader Necklace

Karen also sent me an adorable Be a Reader Necklace, which I love and have actually be marking my place with when I come to a stopping point in a book. My mother-in-law is a librarian, and she loved seeing this necklace. I thought it would be so neat for school libraries, and maybe even county and city libraries to stock up on some of these to give out as reading awards for their top readers among children!

Personalized Thank You Notes!

I also received a truly sweet set of personalized note cards, which are blank inside, and say 'Be Thankful' on the outside. I love them! I always try to keep thank you notes on hand, but sort of have trouble finding designs that aren't too sappy or cheesy. This lets the recipient know that I am thankful, and allows me to write my own personal message inside.

I also received two notepads, which I have seriously been using for everything from leaving sweet notes for my hubby (for no reason, other than to tell him that I love him), to making my blogging schedule notes and to-do lists! One of the pads features a heart, and says, 'Be loved,' and the other features paint splatters, and says, 'Be creative.'

Be Faithful Tumbler

Perhaps my very favorite item that Karen sent over for me to review, is the very special re-usable plastic tumbler with lid and straw that was personalized, just for me. I don't remember going into too much detail about myself when Karen and I first began setting up this review. When I looked closely at the tumbler, I noticed that it not only had my name on it, but on the other side, it had an adorable sticker with a cross, which says, 'Be faithful.' Karen to the time to get to know more about me, my interests and my personal life before she put my package together, which made me feel very special! I love the tumbler so much that I use it pretty much daily, and take it along to my rehearsals for our worship team each week. One of the other vocalists on our team saw it a couple of weeks ago, and just fell in love with it.
