It's difficult being a plus sized girl in a skinny world. While most of us out there are comfortable in our own skin, that doesn't mean that we want to hide our curves in bags and burlap sacks! It can be hard to find stylish, well fitting clothes, when you are full of voluptuous curves. That's why I am so excited to bring you all a fantastic Plus Size Clothing Review and Giveaway from Alight. About time, right! I really am excited for this review and know all my plus sized ladies out there are too!



If you've been to any of the plus size stores lately, maybe you've noticed what I have, baggy shirts with no shape, extremely wide legged pants, and moo-moos for a dress. Enough is enough! It's time that clothing companies see us as beautiful women and not people to cast off as societies outcasts, we deserve to dress smart, sexy, cute and sassy, too! And Alight, did exactly that! Alight is an online plus size clothing website that offers thousands of options for us lovely ladies in sizes 12-34! I love that and I love Alight. They sent me a fantastic Mlle Gabrielle dress to review and am so glad they did! I was looking for a more structured dress option to wear on date night with the hubs, and this dress is perfect!

Mlle Gabrielle Dress

Burgundy, mustard, green and purple geometric shapes adorn the dark blue, lined bodice of the knee length dress. The bust is a complimentary oval pattern in an bandeau style top with satin straps, with a matching satin bow- style sash around the waist! What's even better about the dress is that there is a side zipper to offer stability and a more tailored fit, plus the bust of the dress has elastic stretch in it for us bustier gals. 38D over here, I need all the stretch I can get! My dress from Alight, came in size 18-20. I normally wear a 16 but am glad that they sent me a larger size as the dress seems to run about a size smaller than you would normally wear. So, when ordering something for your self, use the size chart to make sure you order the right size and you can also live chat with someone to ensure you are getting the right size! Alight has an amazing selection of plus size dresses for to choose from.

Once the dress is on, it is extremely flattering, it hides all of my problem areas and makes it look pretty all at once. Many of today's dresses are so short and add a larger behind in that mix, it doesn't make dresses easy to wear. That's why I love the knee length of this dress, it is the perfect length for me and for most women, too! It's easy to wear during the day but stylish enough to wear out for a night on the town. I recently bought a light weight, olive green jacket and love wearing the two together. Pair it with a cute wedge and you're ready for spring in the park!

My plus size dress from Alight is fun, flirty, and comfortable. I love wearing it and I also love having a dress that I know not many other people have! Plus it is 100% husband approved, he likes the dress very much, and so do I. I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of boots to wear with this dress until it warms up a bit. With a dress this versatile, it can easily be worn throughout every season and it is the first thing on my list of "What to Pack" for our family beach vacation in May!

I am so glad I stumbled upon Alight and was able to share them with you all. They have thousands of plus size clothing options for you to try.
