Dogwood Clothing Review & Giveaway

-Part of our Spring Beauty & Fashion Feature-

Beckett likes some style and personality to his wardrobe, and while sometimes he needs a small reminder about what doesn't quite go together, he usually can choose his outfits himself. As B has grown, I have noticed a drastic change in our clothing options. The little boys clothes are almost too "little kid" for him, and the big boy options are "too grownup" for him. I have to really be particular in where we shop and buy from lately, and I don't enjoy going to numerous places to find it.

That said, I also like to search online and see what types of things I can find for B to wear. While recently browsing a popular sale site, I saw an ad for a company I had never heard of. I decided it was worth checking out, and am I ever glad that I did.

Dogwood was founded in 1998 and focuses on quality, fashion, and customer service. Their company philosophy is to create a quality boys clothing line that has a modern young men's look with classic styling. Dogwood carries long/short sleeve tees, hooded sweatshirts, pants, shorts, swimsuits, and even baby onesies all for boys. With so many girl centered clothing companies, it is so refreshing to see a company creating fun things for boys to wear. Dogwood could not be more perfect for solving my current clothing issues!

I contacted Dogwood to see if they might be interested with working with us, because who doesn't love stylish and unique boy clothes, right? Steve graciously offered us some products to review and a great giveaway and discount code for our fabulous readers. Steve sent the products out right away and we received them in about 3 days. Great shipping speed and service--love that!

Beckett had browsed the site with me to look at all Dogwood has to offer, which is a ton by the way. He had some favorites and so did I and we were so excited to get our package because both of the shirts in our package were on our favorites list.
Our package from Dogwood contained 2 tees, 1 pair of shorts, and a sampling of stickers.

Our first tee to open was the "Let's Not Fight".
This was number one on B's list when he had browsed the website, so he was ecstatic to open it up and see it in person. It features two Rock 'Em Sock 'Em robots giving each other flowers, pretty funny at our house. The tee itself is a darker tan, and the robots are a nice, bright blue and red. The colors are crisp and stand out well on the shirt.

The shirt is made of 100% cotton and is tagless (such a nice feature for those kiddos who don't like tags tickling their necks).

Our second tee to open was the "4 Fathers Red"
This was my favorite piece of clothing from all of Dogwood. It is so creative and even educational. The front has 4 US Presidents in a band called "The 4 Fathers" and the back (which you can see below) has the Oval Office Tours listed, which is the inauguration date of each US President. The red tee has a vintage sort of feel to it and the white text is easy to read.

The shirt is made of 100% cotton and is tagless.

Our third item to open was the College Sweat Shorts
Beckett practically lives in soft shorts when we are home and was needing a few bigger pair with his recent height growth spurt, these came at the perfect time.  The shorts are black with white stitching and really soft.

The shorts are made of 100% cotton fleece and have a small tag.

Wearing the "Let's Not Fight"
Retails for $22
Available in Sizes 12 Months-14/16 Boys, we have the 5 and it is a little big for B but will be perfect for the rest of spring, all summer and fall, so he will get so much use out of it.

Care Instructions: Wash warm, tumble dry low. This shirt washes very well and seemed to become even softer after a few washes.

Beckett sporting the "4 Fathers Red"
Retails for $15

Available in Sizes 12 Months-14/16 Boys. We again have the 5 and it is a bit big for B.

Care Instructions: Wash Warm, tumble dry low. I thought the other shirt was soft, but I think this one is even softer after a few washes/wears. It is very comfortable for B.

Getting tons of use from the College Sweat Shorts
Retail for $32
Available in Sizes 12 Months-7 Boys and in 4 color options-cocoa, black, navy, red. We have the 5s, and they are perfect. They have a drawstring to cinch up B's smaller waist, and the length is great for him. They hit just at his knees, which is how he likes to wear them.

Care Instructions: Wash Cold, no bleach, wash separately, tumble dry low. These shorts wash really well and maintain a nice look. This is a great pair of quality shorts.

I love the educational and cultural concepts of some of Dogwood's clothing. The quality has been wonderful so far and I hope it continues to wear and wash as well as it has.
