Every now and then, it's super nice to be able to sit down and relax with an adult beverage. I am partial to wine, and on the occasion that I have an evening all to myself, I might just pour myself a little glass to enjoy while the house is quiet. In the summertime, I enjoy being outside. We've been working on turning our front porch into more of an outdoor living space, and I can't wait to relax out there with a nice, cool glass of riesling and a good book!


When my husband I got married, we registered for lots and lots of stemware, because I love to entertain. I have wine and martini glasses in just about every size, and they spill over from the dining room to the kitchen. None of them are funky, or even really anything special- except for our bridal champagne flutes, which are rimmed in platinum. I've seen a lot of neat wine glasses for sale at local craft shows- most of them hand painted, and ridiculously large, but fun all the same. I have often sort of wanted to have my own special 'mommy wine glass,' but definitely didn't want anything too big, or tacky-looking. When Ashley Rivero with Chalkboard Wine Glasses came across Mommy's Block Party, she offered to send me one of her unique creations. I definitely wasn't about to turn her down, and excitedly waited for my very own, special glass to arrive.

Chalkboard Wine Glasses offers stemware with a lovely 'chalkboard' vinyl seal on them. These vinyl seals are heavy duty, and cover a large surface area of the wine glass. These chalkboard seals are of excellent quality, with a lifespan of five years, and they are imported from France. They are dishwasher safe, however, hand-washing the seals will extend their lifespan.

I received one Chalkboard Wine Glass and a piece of chalk from Chalkboard Wine Glasses. It was packaged very nicely, to ensure that it did not break during the shipping process. It came to me in a nice, white box, and was laid in shredded white paper. I removed the glass from the box, and the first thing I noticed was the quality of the actual wine glass. It's a thick glass, which I love! This means that it's not so delicate that I have to be afraid of possibly breaking it when washing by hand. This is a 20 oz wine glass, which was made right here in the USA! The chalkboard seal is great, too- it features plenty of room to personalize the glass with a name or message... and the seal is really adhered to the glass. The corners don't pop up, or anything!

I enjoyed personalizing my new Chalkboard Wine Glass. I immediately wrote 'Mommy's Glass' on the chalkboard seal, and then enjoyed my wine with dinner later that day. I washed the wine glass by hand- had no problems with the glass or the seal. The chalk washed right off, and the seal dried with no problem, which meant that it was ready to be used again!

The thing that's so neat about these wine glasses is that if you're into entertaining, like I am, you can have a few of these on hand, and you'll never have to worry about guests mixing up their glasses. Great for family get-togethers, parties, or general relaxing at home.

I am loving my new wine glass, and am so impressed with the chalkboard seal! I need to get a few more of these so that the one glass I do have won't be so lonely! I'd love to have a set of these on hand for the next time we have our friends over. The glassware and the tupperware would make great gifts.
