Beautanical Review and Giveaway

Sometimes mommies need a little mommy time, and when we have products around that can help us relax, it makes mommy time much more enjoyable. I was so excited to come across another favorite Etsy shop of mine: Beautanical.

Sarah, owner of Beautanical, strives to reconnect people with nature and themselves through the therapeutic effects of aromatherapy. Sarah makes all of her unique aromatherapy products by hand, and from scratch in small batches, using the highest quality organic ingredients. She makes her soaps using the traditional cold process method, and they contain no artificial fragrances or colors. Sarah is passionate about making the most natural, effective products she can in the most sustainable way.

A Little About Sarah...

I have always been a huge fan of both nature and the bath. For me, creating aromatherapy products is the place on the Venn Diagram where my love of nature, natural health, and creativity overlap. It’s my happy place.

I began creating aromatherapy products several years ago. I was craving a hands on outlet for my creativity, so I started taking some classes for fun – one was on soapmaking, and one was on making your own bath and beauty products. It was an awakening -- I discovered I had a passion for creating bath and skincare products using natural, healing, and therapeutic ingredients that also smell wonderful. This was also my introduction to the amazing world of aromatherapy. (Aromatherapy is the use of the essential, volatile plant essential oils for physical and psychological well-being. In addition to smelling incredible, plant essential oils have myriad therapeutic properties.)

I started making my own facial scrubs and serums, lip balms, salt scrubs, bath salts, and soaps. I took an aromatherapy certification course. My collection of essential oils grew from a box to a shelf, and then a room.

After refining my soap and bath products on friends and family, I decided I wanted to share my love of these products with more people. So, Beautanical was born. Beautanical products are made from the finest high quality organic ingredients and essential oils, and are handcrafted in small batches in Seattle with love.

I get excited each time I send one of my products out in the world, thinking it may help brighten someone's day and provide a little needed pampering in our hectic everyday lives. I hope that using Beautanical products helps you to create your own happy place.

Sarah was kind enough to send me some of her wonderful products to try. First off, let me just say how beautifully packaged everything was! When I opened my package from Sarah, I truly felt like it was my birthday or something. I felt like I was opening and very special gift (and really, I was!). The entire package smelled so lovely! All of the oils mixed together and wafted right out when I opened the package, which immediately intrigued me and made my nose happy!

The soaps I received are just lovely. The scents are light and refreshing. When not in use, they look lovely just being displayed. The three varieties of bath salts I got to try are amazing! Each truly their own, the scents are all relaxing. I haven't gotten to take many baths since Balian was born, but now that I have some relaxing bath products, I am going to make time for myself. At the end of a stressful day, the perfect way to unwind is in a warm bath with beautiful aromas filling the air, washing your stresses away!
