Glow All the Way: Why the Luyors Equinox Pro Belongs Under the Christmas Tree

Luyors sent me the face mask and chest/ neck mask. These masks can be purchased separately or together. I recommend getting both! Don't forget to make sure that your storage bag and eye protectors are included.

I don't know about you, but I haven't felt all glowy lately. The world and life has been stressful. Our physical and emotional wellbeings are affected, but so is our skin! Lack of sleep, frowny & worry faces, RBF, and sugary caffeinated goodness affects our elasticity, cells, moisture, and more.

While it doesn't completely go away, the Luyors Equinox Pro mask brings a bit of glow and radiance back into my face, and perhaps even my smile.

Now, it's been about a month since I've started using this face mask, generally 2-3 times a week. Sometimes it's hard to remember to put it on at night, but I've been fairly consistent.

I did not take it with me when I traveled at the beginning of October though, although I wish I had, because it is so relaxing to sit and wear a face mask!

So, if you are new to the face mask game, and wondering why they have become so popular, here's the reason:

Red Light Therapy.

Yep, that's the reason.

With all our trends and fads, we have now noticed that red light therapy (via the form of LED lights) can transform our skin's tissue using different types of wavelengths and frequencies.

Some might question the science, some might think it's bogus, but red light therapy has been around for a while (since the 60's). While there is a debate about its usage and effects, and there are a ton of medical claims out there, generally red light therapy isn't harmful and can be transformative for those with skin problems. Mostly though, it does help alleviate anxiety & stress, which also causes skin problems.

About a month in.. there are still spots, there are lines, but they are progressing nicely. I don't think it will ever be 100% free!

What light therapy does is:

stimulate the tissue's cells so that they grow firmer
boosts collagen, that pesky thing that disappears with age
reduces inflammation
helps lower stress
brightens dull complexions
improves acne recovery

Now for the low-down on the Luyors mask:

Will all your fine lines, wrinkles, and skin spots disappear immediately? Probably not.

Do they diminish and lessen over time, with adequate usage? Mine have.

Does adequate sleep and hydration help with skin restoration too? Absolutely, but sometimes it's not enough on its own.

If you are looking into the perfect holiday gift for yourself or a loved one, skip the hard plastic masks that remind me too much of Jason (cue halloween horror music here).

The Luyors Equinox Pro LED Mask is made of soft silicone, has flexible straps, and even has eye protectors available. Be sure to grab those eye protectors because they do wonders at keeping the red light from seeping through the mask. Y'all, these lights are BRIGHT and are close to our retinas!

While I love glowy Christmas lights, I don't like burning my eyeballs, so I love the eye protectors for sure. Also, wait until you have the mask on to start it. I didn't one night and my eyes oh so dearly paid the price for a bit. Seeing stars is a thing, yep.

Why is this the perfect Christmas gift?

It's chargeable and wireless, so you won't be chained down to an electrical outlet or port. Perfect for chores, moving about the house being an elf, or just generally managing Christmas chaos.. or perhaps hiding from it. This is perfect for productivity but also for slowing down- so it just depends on your mood and need.

The Luyors Equinox Pro has face or neck & chest option. Two separate parts that can be used individually or together, but there is only one remote, so if you share, ya both need to be sitting close together.

I like this because not too many masks do out there cover the neck & chest. Our necks and chests actually age faster than our faces, so I find I love caring for that area.

Y'all, I am not a "oh my gosh, I have a wrinkle" type person. I'm just not, because we all age. Yet, I do care about the health of my skin and I love how this mask helps not only make my skin look better, it feels better too!

The mask has 6 treatment modes using different combinations of light to aim at a specific problem area.

My favorite is the red & yellow combined. This aims at supporting skin renewal, regrowth, and reducing sun exposure.

The sun and I are friends, but that redness that comes forth isn't always glowy. The mask helps reduce the inflammation and helps my skin feel great after it's been dying a slow death in the harmful rays.

Also, the dark circles are combatted in this combination too..which something I do struggle with, especially on those perimenopause sleepless nights.

The mask also has three intensity settings. Start slow until you get used to it. Too much for too long is a real thing. In fact, all you need is 10 minutes. The timer is set to this exactly, and it turns off automatically when time is up. No more sitting there wondering how many episodes of Gilmore Girls you have watched while wearing the device!

Skip expensive dermotaglist and beauty salon appointments. With the mask usage right at home, you will save time, money, and you will be people-less (minus the humans in your own home), so that's always plus for me. People..are people, especially at the holidays. It might be nice to avoid the crowded chaos for a bit.

Finally, the above the lip area feature is gold. Most masks don't include that area, and it's also important too. This mask specifically has lights for above the lip, helping to reduce lines and promote skin growth there too!

Find a quiet spot, grab a mug of hot chocolate, turn on your favorite holiday show, shut the door, and block everyone out for ten minutes! Or grab the mask, turn it on, and tackle that last bit of Christmas wrapping (or perhaps, even shopping if the last minute elves show up to the doorstep on Christmas Eve).
