It's always a wonderful weekend when my husband is not scheduled to work. We plan random dates, watch our shows, and spend time together. We go together like salt and pepper.
Not because we're exactly alike—because we're definitely not. 😂
We have different opinions, different moods, different ways of doing things, and sometimes completely different ideas about what “clean enough” means. But somehow, we just work.
You're the salt to my pepper.
The calm to my chaos.
The logic to my overthinking.
The “let's just go home” to my “one more stop.” The person who can annoy me like nobody else… and still be the person I want beside me at the end of the day.
We've learned that love isn't about agreeing on everything. It's about choosing each other even when you don't. It's laughing at the ridiculous moments, surviving the stressful ones, forgiving the little things, and holding on through the hard things. It's knowing each other's flaws and loving each other anyway. Because after all these years, I don't need someone who is just like me.
I need you.
The person who makes life a little sweeter, a little crazier, and a whole lot more meaningful. So here's to us... the imperfect pair that somehow fits perfectly.
