Every so often, we hear about Self-Care Sundays; a day dedicated to the wellbeing of both our physical and emotional states. Beauty companies strive to compete for our attention and wallets by providing us with various products that can aid us in our endeavors.
The reality is that for many of us, Sundays are extremely hectic and far from self-care. Worship Services, Sunday morning sports tournaments, afternoon football parties, grocery shopping, lunch making, laundry washing, and calendaring all take our time.
What if instead of Self-Care Sunday, we incorporate a little bit of care into our daily routine by using products that make us feel good and that are relatively decent for us and our skin too?
PJ's Soaps and Bombs provide handcrafted products that infuse our senses, emotional well-beings, and that our skin loves! As a woman owned company, the products are made to offer a bit of relaxation every day. Sometimes the shower is the only solace one receives, even if that (if you have toddlers and pets, you know). With soaps and bombs free of parabens, detergents, or lathering agents; PJ's strives to offer cruelty-free products that are both moisturizing and creamy.
Personally, I have always preferred soaps that are creamy right from the bad. It's nonsensical because soap is soap, but some soaps just don't seem to get the job done for my skin.
Clean? Of course.
Full of rejuvenating factors and moisture? Not necessarily.
I also love how PJ's products various products for us. Soaps, Shower steamers, bath crumble, and even lotions all do the parts in our daily lives to provide a small sense of relaxation and hope.
During the fall, I often get headaches not only from allergies but from weather systems. Shower Steamers are great to help alleviate these issues, along with euchaptyus scents.
Maybe you aren't thinking about it when you turn that water on in the shower and grab that bar after chasing the family around all day (or like me- trying to wake yourself up for the myriad of things on your calendar), but your skin is being refreshed the moment you grab a bar.
The Fall Collection:
Fall in love with the scents that make October and November special. Leaves on the ground, fires, Halloween, and pumpkin!
Of course PJ's has a signature pumpkin spice soap. While it's not edible or your favorite PSL from the local coffee shop, the pumpkin spice soap has scents of walnut, espresso, pumpkin, cinnamon, and ginger. Surprisingly, most pumpkin spiced beauty products make me gag, but I love the smell of this particular soap.
Dive into a world of cozy with the cognac cabin soap. While I have no plans to adventure to a cozy cabin in the mountains for a weekend retreat, this scent reminds me of times away, adventure, and fires! Oak, praline, vanilla, and sandalwood mix together to create an enticing swirl that carries us away, even if we are just standing in our own personal showers.
Other scents include autumn spice and fall harvest, to complete your fall loving scents
Bar Soaps
Not only does the subtle scents waft in and around your senses, the included Aloe Vera and various vitamins of B12, E, A, & C create hydration and reduces inflammation.
Olive Oil also helps with reducing inflammation but repairs skin and tissue growth.
Argan Oil also helps prevent inflammation and dryness, but aids in the control of oiliness. If your skin is prone to being oily, then this ingredient will help it stay normal!
Bath Crumble:
Crumble is different from bath bombs, for sure. Typically, with a bath bomb, the whole thing is thrown in and the water swirls around it to create the spa experience the user is aiming to receive. With bath crumble, the user is able to throw in as much, or as little, as desired.
Perhaps you are feeling out of sorts but don't have a full-blown cold/ sinus infection? Lightly throw Eucalyptus Escape into your bath for a soak, resulting in easier breathing through its decongestion properties.
Just want a warm bath after getting sitting through your child's marching band performance or sports game? Throw in Simply Vanilla crumble for a stress-free experience.
Bath Crumble contains Epsom salt, which also helps prevent inflammation and swelling. Hiking, outdoor festivals, and fall sports along with the crisp change in temp might make our bones creak and moan. Or our muscles. The Bath Crumble will help engage, loosen, and restore; making our bodies slightly stress-free.
Lotions:
In my experience, lotions have either been too greasy, too watery, or too smelly. I generally steer clear of scented ones as they seem potent and automatically give headaches.
Yet, with the pumpkin spice soap, the scent is subtle and almost sweet. I love sweet smelling things, but if that isn't you, then this scent might not be the best fall one for you.
The lotion goes on easily, is hydrating, especially for my poor overwashed hands, and doesn't feel greasy at all. I have a tendency to not use lotion, but I've already used quite a bit of this one and haven't had it that long!
Ingredients include sweet along, argan, jojoba oils, along with Shea, mango, aloe butters to create a luxury experience.
The nice thing about lotion is that it's portable, so you can have the smell, scent, and experience anywhere! Maybe it's just a few seconds of your day that takes you to a different world, but in the process you are helping your skin refresh, grow, and renew.
Self-Care Fall
Grab one of the fall scents to dive into the world of autumn. Even if you can't escape to a mountain retreat, swirls of pumpkin, cinnamon, vanilla, and walnut for a wonderful experience. With these products, instead of just one self-care Sunday, every day has a bit of self-care to it!
