I remember being a teenager and expressing my want for never becoming a parent. My parents had four children and we all, in some way, helped raise the younger ones. I didn't appreciate it as a teenager, but as an adult, there are so many life lessons that I learned. The best job I've ever held is that of being a mom.
Today, we honor each other here on the blog, but also all of our readers. Being a parent is one of the hardest jobs and while there is no handbook each and every one of us deserves a round of applause. You showed up when it mattered, you gave unconditional love and nurtured them to be well rounded people. Our world can be a scary place, but you didn't back down.
For each and every parent here today, I am proud of you for showing up on the hard days and enjoying the good days. Thank you for showing up and raising the future generation. I hope you have a beautiful rest of the day.
