Now, my thirteen-year-old shih tzu/ Lhasa can be incredibly picky regarding his meal time (and treat time), so take these comments to heart, but also know your pup's own picky meter might be different.

Superfood Sprinkles:

Superfood Sprinkles are meal toppers that add extra nutrition to your pup's food. Brand new to the Crumps line, these toppers should aid in your canine friend's overall health, but they have to like it first!

The Fish+ Superfoods sprinkles contain greens (spinach, broccoli, & kelp) along with omega-rich fish to support your pup's healthy coat and skin. Also containing rosemary for antioxidants, this sprinkle has a great amount of protein added to it as well. I have to disclose that Chachi did not like this topper. I thought he would because he loves salmon jerky, but it was definitely a no- go. It's probably the greens because he surely does love his meat! 

Now, the Turkey Superfoods sprinkles is definitely up his alley. He gobbled his food right now with this specific topper. Created to aid digestion, the Turkey Superfoods Gold contains 100& American turkey, high protein, turmeric, pumpkin powder, and mushroom powder along with rosemary extract. He is used to turmeric and pumpkin from homemade adventures, so I think that is what helped his desire (plus, he just generally loves all meat).

Don't feed your pup more than 2 teaspoons of these superfood sprinkles a day! 

These are a great way to get some extra protein, energy, and support into your pup's meal; especially if they are picky eaters. 

Gutsy Prebiotic Bites

Prebiotics help keep our dog's guts in check. If yours is anything like mine, he is a scavenger on walks, eating whatever he comes across before I can even see it! He gobbles down his food & human food fast, and loves his treats too. Sometimes, I can tell he has an upset tummy and needs something to help. Prebiotics also help with the overall immune system that supports beautiful skin, healthy ears, and even allergies!

We tested out the Gutsy Immune Bites, and I was hesitant at first. The last time we got immune bites, he refused to eat them. This time, he grabbed it off the couch before I even broke it up for him! The Gutsy Immune bites contain a functional mushroom mix that works to support the guy, and in return your dog's well-being. 

Next up, the Gutsy Balance bites are another support for Chachi's gut health. To be honest, I've noticed a difference in his stool quality, in his demeanor, and in his digestive system in general. He's not been having as many moments where he seems to be uncomfortable in the middle of the night because of his food or doggy acid reflux. He is still eating these even after a couple of days, which is a plus because sometimes he will try one then refuse them again.

If you are concerned about your dog's well-being, I would look into these Gutsy Bites. There are others for anxiety and mood needs as well. I think for my senior friend, he likes these because they taste good, but also they make him feel good! Not all treats have the same effects on our creatures, and sometimes, just like humans, certain foods can cause digestive issues. Keep your pup's gut in check with these wonderful bites!

Crumps Mini Trainers

Crumps mini trainers are a semi-moist high protein hypoallergenic snack for all dogs.  Trainers are 3 calories per treat with zero artificial flavors or preservatives. 

We were sent the new duck and lamb proteins to test out. With so many allergies out there, these two different proteins are a great way to train and support your dog while keeping their allergies in check. 

Chachi has gone gaga for both of these proteins. He loves duck already, so I knew that he most likely would love them. I wasn't sure about the lamb, but he proved that he absolutely loves these items. While we are not in training mode at his age, these are the perfect way to engage your dog while on walks and encountering other nosy creatures who want to meet everyone, like us. 

Created in small batches, these treats are all natural too. While I'm not overly concerned about preservatives and fillers, I do recognize that Chachi likes natural treats more than others, and I love that Crumps has treats he loves!

The mini trainers are a perfect after walk reward, a perfect late night snack (yes, he does get hungry in late evenings, just like humans), and even subsides his desires in the middle of the night when he wakes up wanting something. I try to not indulge him too much, but sometimes he just wants something small!

Sweet Potato Fries

This is such a fun snack that is great for all dogs! Like with the other crumps products, I was hesitant to open the bag because I've had him refuse to eat chews like this before. Not with Crumps! He grabbed that sweet potato, took it over to his bed, and played with it for a few minutes before chewing it up! 

He has continued to love these fully vegetarian treats. Full of beta-carotene, 100% pure sweet potato, and no fillers/ preservatives, these treats have quickly become his favorite. He does struggle with the chewy atmosphere because he's lost some of his teeth, but it hasn't slowed him down too much!

At 13Kcal per treat, these are a good way to get fiber and protein as well. Like any treat from Crumps, these are not substitutes for full meals, so be sure to monitor your dog's intake and needs. 

I know I'm coming up on about three weeks of work related trips, and I'm concerned for my senior dog as I'm concerned he will be too anxious when I'm gone. While I've been gone on week-long adventures, I haven't had anything back to back like this since we became adopted family members.
