Connect With & Create A New Christian Community By Using the Zaia App

This is a sponsored post by FrontGate Media and Zaia. All thoughts are my own.

Do you find yourself doomscrolling, watching endless TikTok videos, and feeling down after reading endless Keyboard Warrior vicious comments? Do yourself a favor and download the app Zaia.

Made for android & apple, this Christian app connects you with people from 46 million denominations rites and over 2.6 billion Christians! Made specifically to encourage people to grow in their faith together, this app joins believers across the world to share their journey, music, adventures, and even daily devotions with each other.

Instead of wasting time with doomsday videos, share your positive God moments, share your joy, and connect with others who have the same passions that you do. The app's name means "light" and it's certainly a light to see inspiring stories, scripture, and the like instead of the negativity that has taken over other social media apps, especially during the height of this fall political season.

What is in Zaia?

After creating a profile, I explored a bit to get a feel for the app and what it contains. Right now, Zaia seems mostly filled with folks from more non-denominational backgrounds than mainstream backgrounds. While their videos and posts are interesting to view, they don't really match with my theology, so just check be aware of that if you are in a more traditional faith background.

Zaia is not just another social media app. It aims to help connect and develop faith in Christian believers. I have seen some other faiths, mostly from other countries, as they question their faith and belief. I think this could be a safe space for you and your friends/ family to connect and grow together, without all the negativity that enters in on FB/IG.

The app contains:
    • Its own Bible! This is cool, but it doesn't have the version I like, and I'm kind of leery about certain translations as they don't always pick up the proper Greek and Hebrew well.

    • The Zaia Feed: filled with videos, posts, and inspiration, this is a very easily accessible area to scroll through and gain insight, ideas, etc. I don't think this area can be crafted easily, though, as mine shows people that I'm not connected with. This is different from our IG/ FB feeds that we can craft and morph into what we desire. You can follow, report, and block people as well. You can also share their comments, videos, and photos outside the app as well, such as through email or a text message platform.
    • Trending/ People sections: see what's trending, find new friends, see what scripture is being talked about, and more in this section! There's even a prayer request and testimony area in this section!

    • Tribes: build your own tribe or join an existing one. Tribes are smaller private communities that connect over a specific purpose. Maybe you love music, movies, cooking, books, etc. Find it all on here! I created a Tribe called Church Architecture and History love. No one has joined it in yet, but if you want to, come on over and we can talk about all the fun things!
    • Posting Capabilities: the App allows the user to take video, still shots, and record straight from the app. No more having to pull open your camera, then upload! Of course, it still has the upload button if you have a saved meme, photo, artwork, etc. The posting section also contains posting to your feed or tribe, and you can choose between regular, testimony, and prayer request.
As with any app, the user has the chance to connect or scroll as much as you want. One thing I've noticed that is this is a very eclectic user field from across the world, so sometimes there is a language barrier in translations, sometimes there are comments that you just might not disagree with, and sometimes there are wonderful joyful thoughts and caring scripture posts that inspire you to grow with God even more.

I think that Zaia is a great way to connect with your friends, family, and build community together. It's certainly a positive app that doesn't allow negativity. Posts do allow hearts (I assume this resembles love or like), shares, and comments like other apps do, but I don't see as much interaction as I do on the more standard social media platforms.

It's still a new app though, so as more people use it, the more tribes that will be created, and there will be several ways that you can connect with your community! This Christian platform will be a great way to grow in your faith, shine light, and create a positive network.

Want it? Get it!
