This long weekend has been a busy one. Breaks from school (for many) result in weekends away, or fun activities planned. Due to our family's commitments on Sundays, our weekends are usually spent at home and at church. Since my childhood, it's been the only life I've known. Saturdays are for getting things done at home- cleaning, catching up on laundry, prepping for the week ahead, baking, and focusing on the never-ending list of projects for our new house. I don't mind our routine, and in fact, I rather enjoy having a consistent routine that I can count on.

Being very busy during the school year makes me look forward to summertime when things are a little bit more relaxed. Perhaps a week at the beach will come about. By June, we'll surely need a little time away to recoup and recover. 

Today, though, is for working on our house. We're grateful to have Sacha's dad here for the weekend to help us with some projects in our house. I am trying to be patient with our projects and the length of time they are taking to complete, but I desperately want our kitchen finished. So, they work and I wait, and wait some more. I'm so excited to see this project nearly completed and to pick out all of the finishings, and eventually move on to our next project.
