Our Family's Summer Bucket List + Free Printable Summer Bucket List

Sweet summer break is here! We've spent the first full week of summer break with 4/5 of our family being sick with a tummy bug. Yuck! Not a fun way to start our summer, but honestly, I'd rather everyone get all of the last bits of sickness out of their systems before we embark on any summer adventures. While we don't have a big summer planned, we do have a few fun things in the works. Most of our time will likely be spent working on our house and continuing our renovations. We even have some plans for outdoor projects, and I would love to get one or two under our belt this summer.

At the start of every summer, our family sits down to chat and make our Summer Bucket List. Most of the things my kids want to do involve swimming or ice cream, and staying up late, of course. I have bigger plans, and romantic ideas of perfect days spent in the mountains, at the beach, or taking a road trip. The reality of traveling with kids (of any age) is that it'll likely be tougher than you think, but it's absolutely worth it.

We're looking forward to taking a road trip to Missouri and Oklahoma at the end of June. It'll be our first long car trip since we went to Florida two summers ago (a much longer trip!), and Baby C's first-ever road trip. It's about thirteen hours in the car from our house to my aunt's house in Missouri, and then another five hours to my sister's house near Tulsa. It'll be a trip for the books!

Of course, road trips aren't the only thing on our bucket list for this summer. Check out our family's summertime hopes and goals...

We've already done a couple of the things on our list, and the others are going to be pretty easy peasy to check off. I'm looking forward to our trips, and our house projects. I'm hoping that if we can get far enough with our project list this summer, maybe we can put a pool in next summer or the summer after that. Your girl has plans, y'all... big plans!
