Every year, I take a photo of my boys in front of this Japanese Maple, when it colors.

This year, the color came late. I began to wonder if it would turn that bright shade of red we anticipate each year. Typically, this happens early to mid October and I start to see the shift begin and life emerge. 

This year, while the color came later, it still showed up and I was reminded to just wait. Wait on the color to come. When your life is in the gray, the color is on it's way.
