Unless you are my best friend, the Art Teacher who always have a myriad of supplies around the house for her kiddos, you might be struggling in the art supply area. When those rainy fall days (or even Hurricane Season) hits, your kids might be complaining about boredom after they have watched their favorite movie on repeat a gazillion times. Or worse yet.. when the power goes out! Eeek! 

My niece and nephew are no different! Both are creative, adventurous, and zany; but both often want new and exciting projects versus the toys, games, and movies that fill their home. 

Kids Art Box is for the win during these times! Filled with all the needed supplies and directions, your kids will be on their way to creating wonderful masterpieces through an individual or monthly themed box. 

Kids Art Box sent over a couple of boxes to be tried out. They are filled to the brim with instructions and everything needed to complete all the projects inside. Your children will not only learn about the artist, but the techniques and methods those artists used to create their masterpieces. 

A) My Artist Box 

What is included? A Short Bio, 2 Art Activities that reproduce the artist's most famous piece, 1 Art Activity to practice one of the artist's techniques, and 1 diorama about the artist. 

Made for older children (Ages 6-12) that can mostly work on their own. These projects might take more patience and take longer than traditional artwork. Each box has a theme surrounding a specific artist. The Virginia Sterrett themed box offers 4 projects of mixed media related to the artist. She was a teenage illustrator, so I think this is cool that our kids and young teens are learning ways that they can influence the world.. and be creative at the same time!

My niece loves art project but with the start of middle school, her time has been limited. She's excited to try out the various projects though! She also said that when she opened the box, there were a lot of cool things in there! (My sister's comment was that it was a LOT of items and projects to work on!).  This is such a cool birthday gift for her, because not only does she love art, but she gets to learn about different styles and artists! 

B) Create Together Art Box

Made for children ages 3-7, this box is perfect for those who love art but need the help of a caring adult. They are also good for older children that are still working on dexterity or fine motor skill issues. We were sent a Magic themed box that is full of super fun projects! This box has 5 projects in it, including paint a magician, make magical potions, and a wand! Don't forget the super most important part of magic: Illusions! 

I'm excited to see what my nephew comes up with when he finishes these projects. It's hard to sometimes get him focused, but other times he is determined to do the project before him. I think he will have a blast with the paints, mica powder, and clay that is provided!
