Camp Margaritaville's RV Resort and Lodge is the Fun Family Experience You Need This Fall

Thanks to Camp Margaritaville RV Resort for sponsoring this post by hosting my family. All thoughts are my own.

Looking to get it away from it all this fall? I have just the destination for you to check out! My family and I were recently invited to stay and play at Camp Margaritaville RV Resort and Lodge in beautiful Pigeon Forge, TN. What a gorgeous setting with unending family fun! Pigeon Forge is nestled in the majestic Smoky Mountains of TN, and is home to all sorts of family fun and entertainment. It's a highly sought-after travel destination for families across the country, and one of my family's top places to vacation.

The Lodge at Camp Margaritaville RV Resort & Lodge Pigeon Forge

Camp Margaritaville is the perfect place for families to chill and offers two ways to stay. Choose from staying at one of the many RV sites, or staying in the relaxing (but swanky) lodge. Either way you choose to stay, guests of Camp Margaritaville have access to all of the on-site fun during their visit and believe me, the amenities are out-of-this-world fun and fantastic!

My family of five headed west from the Piedmont of NC on a Friday afternoon and arrived at Camp Margaritaville RV Resort and Lodge in Pigeon Forge just a few hours later. I love that Camp Margaritaville is just a short distance from home for us. When we arrived at The Lodge, my kids were bursting with excitement, and couldn't wait for their dad to hurry up and park the car so we could check everything out.

The beautiful lobby at The Lodge is a relaxing place to kick back and chill.

The Lodge Gives You a Camp Experience in Ultimate Comfort

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendliest resort staff we've ever experienced, making sure we had everything we needed for our two-night stay with them at The Lodge. Walking into The Lodge, we saw island-themed furnishings and decor, along with cozy mountain touches (like a large stone fireplace) everywhere we looked and knew that we were officially on island time for the duration of our stay. The Lodge was absolutely beautiful and is a wonderful spot to relax.

Our gorgeous room at The Lodge was so spacious!

As other families were arriving for the weekend, we decided to grab our bags and head upstairs to check out our room. We were in a beautiful deluxe family suite, which was so large and beautiful! When we walked into our room at The Lodge, my kids nearly lost their minds over how absolutely cool the room was. Closest to the main door was the kids' own private tented room! This adorable kids' camp room had two twin beds, a night table, and a television. The beds had zip-up bedding that made the kids feel like they were nestling into sleeping bags each night- a true camp experience! What a fun extra touch that was. My kiddos (who always beg us to take them camping) loved feeling like they were camping right inside The Lodge.

Check out the amazing room the kiddos had within our suite...

A separate, tented room for the kids? Yes, please!

I've never seen my kids more excited during a family vacation!

Beanie absolutely loved having her own bed on our trip!

B thought it was so cool to have TV in the kids' tented room!

The rest of the large suite included a beautiful bar area, set with a coffee maker, coffee, bottled water, bar items, and a mini fridge. This was wonderful for our family- it gave me a chance to make that first cup of morning coffee while my family still enjoyed snoozing, and gave us a place to keep any leftovers we might have had through the weekend.

The in-room bar and mini fridge was wonderful to have!

Beautiful bathroom vanity for getting ready for fun, fun, fun!

Bathroom envy! This bathroom was so beautiful, and spa-like!

The large bathroom was gorgeous. A separate bath and vanity area was so nice for our large family. We had plenty of room to get ready for the day without being on top of each other, and everything we might have needed was provided in terms of shampoo, soap, etc.

A comfy place to lay our heads. The double queen beds gave us plenty of space to sleep and dream.

Our large room had tons of space, which was perfect for setting up our pack-n-play for Baby C.

The girls had lots of room to play in our room, which was wonderful!

The kids were so excited about our room, and couldn't wait to check out the rest of the resort!

This was the incredible view from our room! Absolutely postcard worthy!

Our room included two queen size beds, a dresser, a television, and tons of floor space. I particularly appreciated the extra floor space in our room because we needed to set up a pack-n-play for our youngest, who had just turned a year old. It gave her a safe space to play while we were enjoying our time in the room. The large window overlooking the bonfire and lazy river areas was so nice... and the very best view of all was the stunning mountain greeting us across the way. What a view to wake up to each morning! Wow!

Dinnertime! Let's eat at Finn's!

Eat on Site at Finn's Bar & Chill

We were pretty tired after our four-hour car trip and after unloading our bags in our room. One of the hardest things about traveling with young kids is that they are always tired and hungry after a car trip, and the last thing anyone wants to do is have to go back out, fight traffic, and then have to wait for a seat in a restaurant. One of the things I love most about Camp Margaritaville RV Resort and Lodge (and all of the Margaritaville Resorts), is that they offer lots of fabulous food and beverage choices right on site, so you never even have to leave the resort- unless you want to.

Beanie enjoyed the refreshing fresh fruit water outside of Finn's.

We headed back down to the lobby area at The Lodge and walked into Finn's Bar & Chill for dinner on Friday night. We were seated right away in this absolutely cool open-air restaurant, which was so low-key and relaxing for families. While we waited on our food to arrive, the kids stepped out into the green space and enjoyed playing cornhole, and having their own little dance party under the string lights! It brought me so much joy to see my kiddos having the time of their lives at Camp Margaritaville. We enjoyed watching the RVs drive in (we often talk about buying one someday), and seeing other families having a blast, just like we were.

This kiddo couldn't wait to order from the Kid's Menu at Finn's! Everything on it sounded so good!

After ordering dinner, we headed outside to play cornhole and dance!

Baby C and I loved walking around and checking out the open air area outside of Finn's while we waited on our dinner to arrive.

Beanie Boo had so much fun dancing around and playing outside. Such a fun area for families!

Finn's Bar and Chill has a fantastic menu, with the freshest ingredients! My husband and I were very impressed by their menu, and we were eager to try some of their meals. Parents, you will appreciate that the kids' meals are awesome. They have meals your kiddos will love, like chicken tenders and fries, hot dogs, pizza, etc. My kids were incredibly happy to be able to eat foods they love. For the grownups, there are lots of tasty options for lunch and dinner, like nachos and tacos, delicious salads, signature hot dogs and burgers, and even pasta!

Finn's has such an amazing menu, and we couldn't wait to sample it.

Check out some of the yummy meals we enjoyed at Finn's!

Delicious fresh chicken tacos were absolutely amazing. I could have eaten these all weekend.

Our oldest was overjoyed to have pizza, and said this was super tasty!

Beanie girl was so excited for yummy chicken tenders and fries with ranch!

After our delicious meal, the kids wanted to check out some of the on-site fun at The Lodge, so we headed downstairs to take a look around. The Entertainment Center at The Lodge is out of this world! The lobby area is so beautiful, and I honestly spent a good bit of time there with Baby C. It was such a pretty spot to sit and enjoy the fire while the rest of the family played. It gave me a quiet, comfortable place to nurse my baby while still being able to be close to the rest of my family. I loved not having to go back to our room while the kids were enjoying all of the fun activities and resort amenities.

There's so much to do at Camp Margaritaville RV Resort & Lodge!

As we looked around, we were blown away by how many different things there were to do! There was a big arcade, bowling, billiards, darts, a fun craft and activities room, a bar, an activities lawn lined with rocking chairs to chill in, and a brand new lazy river, which my kids were just begging to go to.

The downstairs entertainment lobby at The Lodge is awesome!

I found a great spot to sit and relax by the big stone fireplace.

While it was getting kind of late, we decided to wait until morning to dive into all of the fun activities at The Lodge. We did, however, allow the kids to go for an evening swim at the resort pool, which was fabulous. It gave them a chance to play and gave me a chance to head back to the room with Baby C so I could get her settled for the night.

Breakfast with sweet Baby C and our family at Finn's Buffet.

Stay and Play at Camp Margaritaville RV Resort

On Saturday, we awoke from a fabulous night's sleep and were ready to fuel up for the day at Finn's Breakfast Buffet. Located directly off of the lobby at The Lodge, is Finn's Breakfast Buffet, an all-you-can-eat array of delicious breakfast/brunch foods. It was one of the nicest buffets we have ever experienced. The waitstaff seated us, and made sure we had everything we needed or wanted in terms of beverages, etc. We then let loose in the buffet and loaded up on all sorts of delicious foods!

My kids couldn't wait to hit the buffet for breakfast! They didn't know where to start because everything looked so delicious!

The yogurt parfait bar was one of Beanie's favorite things at Finn's Buffet.

I was so excited for the cereal and oatmeal bar!

Pastries and French toast- yes, please!

There were two different buffet areas. The first offered all sorts of pastries and baked goods, as well as waffles, pancakes, fresh fruit and yogurt (think parfait bar), French toast, and more! My kids were in breakfast heaven! They created their own waffle and pancake creations each morning, and were delighted to be able to do so.

The other buffet area served up hot breakfast foods like eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, delicious egg casserole muffins, home fries, grits, and cold items like deli meats, fruits, cottage cheese, and more!

The cereal bar offered all kinds of dry cereals, as well as instant oatmeal, etc. I can't tell you how much I appreciated the oatmeal option. As a breastfeeding mom, I have oatmeal for breakfast most days, and also typically give Baby C oatmeal for breakfast, too. It was so wonderful not to have to bring my own oatmeal down for breakfast!

The coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and juice bar was awesome! The kids were able to enjoy warm and cold beverages, and I started my day with delicious coffee- a signature Margaritaville blend to write home about! Breakfast is served until 10:30 am, which is perfect for families like mine who may take a little longer to get going in the mornings.

Adults: $10.95 • Children (5-10yrs): $8.95 • 4yrs and under FREE

Baby C and I were so excited to have our morning oatmeal.

One of B's breakfasts- juice, fruit, a biscuit, and loaded up pancakes. Yum!

I enjoyed having lots of delicious fresh fruit with my breakfast at Finn's.

B couldn't get enough of the pancake bar at Finn's!

Eggs, bacon, and more- the perfect way to start the day with lots of energy to play.

Amazing Onsite Activities for the Whole Family!

After we filled our tummies, we headed down to the entertainment area for a fun-filled morning. With so many fun activities to do, my kids were going bananas... they didn't know what to do first! They decided to start at the arcade, which was filled with tons of fun games and VR-type rides! The kids loved the ride-on motorcycle racing games, the Jurassic World ride, and the air hockey table! My son spent a lot of time playing basketball games, and I loved feeling like a kid again playing a few games of skee ball!

Having at blast at the arcade Saturday morning!

B had a blast shooting hoops!

The arcade was fun for the entire family... even Baby C!

My husband loved getting a chance to 'play' at the arcade.

The kids had a ball at the arcade and begged to go back several times before we left for home. I'd say it was a big hit!

From the arcade, we headed over to Duckpin Bowling for two rounds of bowling fun! This awesome bowling alley had four lanes, and was perfect for kids! I loved that my six-year-old had no problem bowling with the lighter, smaller balls. The bowling alley was so much fun! The atmosphere was really cool, and there was a lot of comfy seating for family and friends to watch and cheer from! You can order food and beverages right inside of the bowling alley, and enjoy a bite while you wait on your next turn. We loved getting an extra round of bowling in, as the games were buy one, get the 2nd game free! We spent a good hour and a half just having a blast bowling together.

Family bowling fun at Duckpin Bowling!

Our oldest got a tad bit competitive when bowling!

The atmosphere was so cool and fun! We felt like we had a semi-private bowling alley, just for us!

I just love Margaritaville's fun decor! It makes me feel like I'm on vacation and reminds me to relax.

It was so nice to see my often serious husband let loose and be silly with the kiddos. He loved bowling with them at Duckpin.

Take a swim and make a splash at the resort pool and lazy river!

These kids couldn't wait to hit the water at the resort pool at The Lodge!

After our morning fun, we headed out to the resort pool for some swimming, and dined poolside for lunch! The resort pool is so big and impressive! There's tons of room for families to swim and play together. I am always a fan of zero entry pools, and was so happy to see that the resort pool had this feature. When you have very small children, this is the easiest and safest way the get them into a pool, and gives them the opportunity to sit and splash at the entry point. This was perfect for Baby C, as she loves the water, and loved being able to sit in the shallow end and splash the afternoon away.

Baby C and her daddy had lots of fun swimming together.

The zero entry pool made it easy for Baby C to have a safe little place to splash and play.

The splash zone is the perfect spot to cool off in! Big and little kids alike (like my own kids) will love the splash zone at the pool! It splashes and sprays water for extra fun. At the other end of the pool is a fun waterslide! My kids went crazy over the waterslide, and spent the majority of their time at the pool zipping down the slide, one after the other. I felt safe letting them enjoy the slide while I played with Baby C out of the water because there was a waterslide attendant at the pool, keeping watch. Thanks, Margaritaville!

The epic waterslide provided hours of fun, fun, fun!

Check out how cool the waterslide at the pool is!

The pool area was quite large. We never once felt crowded, even when other families joined in the fun.

Our mermaid girl wanted to stay at the pool all day, and said it was the most amazing pool she'd ever been in.

Hubby enjoyed water fun with his girls. He loves being in the water with him, and agreed that the Lodge pool was really something!

While the kids played, my husband and I ordered lunch from the poolside bar. Much of the menu is similar to Finn's restaurant. We ordered up burgers, chicken tenders, homemade chips, and had a great meal outside by the pool. The food was incredibly delicious, and hit the spot after working up big appetites from playing so hard all morning.

Hubby said his pizza was amazing. So fresh and delicious!

B was happy with chicken tenders and fries for lunch from Finn's, and loved being able to eat by the pool.

I was excited to try the burger after seeing my husband's at dinner the night before. It was so good, and loaded with bacon! Yum! The homemade chips were a favorite of ours, too.

After lunch, it was time for Baby C to take a nap, and for Sacha and the kids to check out the awesome (and new) lazy river. This was the moment they were all waiting for all weekend! The lazy river is one of the nicest and largest resort lazy rivers I have ever seen or experienced. The lazy river just opened in early fall 2022, and is one of the resort's fantastic highlights. We weren't the only ones excited to spend time in the lazy river... lots of families were in and out of the large river and tubes, but it never once felt crowded. My kids had the time of their lives in the lazy river, and begged not to have to get out of it. My favorite thing about the lazy river was the mountain view right from the lazy river. Breathtaking views all around- what a treat!

Time to experience the new Lazy River at Camp Margaritaville! Doesn't it look amazing?

I loved watching my family enjoy the large lazy river. They said it was so relaxing, and some of the most fun they'd had in a long time.

B had such a wonderful time floating in the lazy river and didn't want to get out. Who could blame him, really?

Beanie said the lazy river was amazing and she never wanted to leave it. It was so much fun!

While there are tons of fun and busy activities for the kids at Camp Margaritaville, there are also lots of ways that grown ups can slow down and relax. The hot tub is always bubbling, ready for you to enjoy. There are various bars onsite, offering tasty eats and cool beverages. The billiards room is a wonderful place to enjoy a spirited game of pool or darts and make new friends. The bonfire area often features live entertainment, and the back porch is lined with cozy seating so you can watch the bonfire at night, or just relax and take in the mountain views.

Relax around the firepit by the resort pool.

Enjoy a game or two in the entertainment lounge at The Lodge.

Head to the Billiards Room for pool, darts, or to look out of the big picture windows and enjoy the mountain views.

Sit and relax by the fire.

Exploring the rest of the resort is a great way to spend a portion of your day at Camp Margaritaville, too! We enjoyed riding down the lane past the resort and checking out the playground, the camp store, the pickleball court, and seeing all of the RVs onsite, too!

Enjoy area entertainment and catch up with friends!

Check out area entertainment for even more fun!

Since Camp Margaritaville is located just on the edge of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, literally all of the places you would want to visit during your time in TN are nearby. It's just a quick car ride to area restaurants, dinner theatres, fun places like Wonder Works, the Titanic Museum (which is a must-visit!), and shopping. We were even able to meet up with friends of ours from Knoxville at The Island, a highlight of Pigeon Forge, featuring the Margaritaville Hotel and restaurant. When we asked our friends where they wanted to meet for dinner, they responded, 'Margaritaville is our favorite place!' No surprise! It's such a cool, chill, relaxing, and fun family atmosphere, and the food is amazing!

The incredible Camp Margaritaville staff is ready to welcome you to camp!

The staff at Camp Margaritaville is so friendly and helpful- they will help you find cool activities off site, and can help you plan fun excursions for your family. You'll be welcomed with a smile, and asked to come back soon at the end of your visit. Our every need was provided and taken care of, and we are so grateful to have had such an amazing opportunity to stay and play in our family's new favorite resort!
