Last weekend we made a trip to Florida to visit with Gram.  Vanessa, her girls, and I  boarded a plane on Friday morning to visit the woman that means the most to us. It was an amazing trip. The memories from this trip will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Gram's health is starting to fail and moments in time are all we will have. As scared as I was to fly and even drive in an area I am not familiar with (all highway), it was the most significant thing I have done in my adult life. We didn't have time to be scared or anxious without our husbands. We needed to see our Gram so we did a sisters trip. Something we have talked about for years, but never took the time to do. 

We got to visit family we haven't seen in years. We had family dinners that were simple but were so important. It made me realize that life is short. We make excuses about being busy or that we can do things another time.  Sometimes you can't or another time won't be there. Take the moments, use that vacation time you have banked, and spend the money you have. If you don't then what is it all worth? Sundays with Gram will always be our thing.
