This mama is tired. It has been an eventful few days here. I was so happy to keep the surprise that E was coming home for Thanksgiving from everyone including my husband. Anyone that knows me, knows j can't keep a secret so this one meant the most.
The only person that knew was my youngest sister because she helped me to surprise everyone. I held up Thanksgiving dinner because I had the paper plates, but ultimately I had the one person that would make our Thanksgiving brighter this year... E. I texted my sister with now under the guise I had so much to bring in. I rolled E's window down and turned the radio up to Coffey Anderson's Mr. Red White and Blue. It was emotional to say the least.
This was E's first time home since deployment. The first time he has met and held his new cousin and the first time we've ever surprised his dad. It was a short visit but one of the best ones yet. I got to show him the new place we love to go eat and we ended his visit watching one of my favorite movies, Con Air and he loved it too.
I hope your holidays are filled with blessings
