HippyFeet Makes American Made Fashionable Wear with Heart #MBPBACKTOSCHOOL21 #REVIEW

What an amazing organization! You can get really cool fashion - socks, sweaters, shorts, accessories, etc. - and help the homeless teens of the Minneapolis area too!

Hippy Feet is a Minneapolis-based Benefit Corporation dedicated to supporting the homeless. Each product sold allows them to provide transitional employment to young people ages 16-24 who are experiencing homelessness. Through a program called Pop-Up Employment, Hippy Feet creates jobs for homeless youth via our packaging, screen printing, and embroidery operations. They strategically partner with local non-profits, enabling them to ensure that the employment efforts happen in a safe, convenient, and familiar environment that overlooks the traditional barriers that limit homeless youth from finding consistent forms of employment.

As of May 2021, they have been able to provide jobs to more than 150 young people affected by homelessness. This adds up to over 4,200 hours of employment - providing young people in Minneapolis, Duluth, and Chicago the chance to earn a transitional wage and basic job training. Their non-profit partners also provide resources like bus passes, clothing for full-time job interviews, and counseling. In many cases, this has led to full-time employment and permanent housing for the program participants. How amazing is that?!

They use environmentally friendly materials and practices. The socks are really comfortable! Soft and warm. There are so many cool designs to choose from - very retro and fun. The socks I have are now my favorite socks to wear and I am not a person who likes to wear socks, so that is definitely saying something!

You can choose from the many choices on their website or you can order custom socks for any occasion! Family reunions, Christmas pictures, sports team, etc These are custom socks that really make an impact and change lives.

My girls and I absolutely love the Hippy Friendship Bracelet from HippyFeet! We share the one we have and are usually asking each other for the bracelet. It is so pretty and we enjoy that it is handmade made by a young person experiencing homelessness — providing them with income, job training, and referrals to full-time jobs outside of Hippy Feet. Each bracelet is made with an adjustable, braided vegan cord and 9 unique types of beads made from natural gemstones, recycled glass, and wood. It really goes with just about anything!
