Certain types of Music: the albums, singers, lyrics reach down into my soul and stir up emotions. Whether it's joy, sorrow, or longing, music's existence can take listeners into a different dimension, a different vision, even if it's just for a few minutes.

Growing up, there was limited music choices in my household. My father preferred the rhytms of Beach Boys, Elvis Presley, and the like. My Mother's Country Music choices of Alan Jackson, Joe Diffie, and Reba Mintyre mixed with my grandfather's choices of Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, and the link greatly influenced my genre choices as I got older.

During my youth group days (middle school and early high school), I was able to experience various Christian artists from duo Aaron and Jeffrey to DC Talk and Audio Adrenaline at theme park festivals and youth conferences.

Of course, add the late 90's genre of boy bands and female trios like Backstreet Boys, Destiny's Child, TLC makes my Spotify collections amusing!

For a while I left the country music world and engaged in more pop artists but every so often, a lead singer or band would draw me back in. The Lead Singer of Rascal Flatts did that very thing back in the early 2000's. Gary LeVox's lead vocals always opened my heart, causing me to roll down the car windows and sing out loud. The band's break-up in 2020 led to an end of 21 years of music, lyrics, and emotions but that wasn't end for LeVox.

Feeling called to share his music in a different way, Gary LeVox has started an adventure that complains his passion of music with his faith. His first solo EP, One On One, just dropped on Friday, May 21st and is one you won't want to mix.

Using his amazing vocals, energetic instrumentals, combining a mix of Christian pop and Country will soon encourage you to sing along to this amazing EP. It's a catchy beat with lyrics that dig deep into your soul.

The One on One EP from Big Machine Records features LeVox on lead vocals with Mercy Me, Gospel Musician Jonathan McReynolds, Breland, and even a feature with his daughter, Brittany LeVox.

5 amazing tracks on this EP will bring the listener through lyrics filled with hope, love, faith, and a future. LeVox's Country background shines through on several titles, especially his collab with Breland on Track #4 and his own vocals on Track #5.

My favorites are "A Little Love" featuring Mercy Me and "The Distance". "A Little Love" brings a mixture of Christian pop, Country, and a general good feeling to get it's message across. "The Distance" is reminiscent of LeVox's earlier days in Rascal Flatts. LeVox's amazing vocals shines through on this song as it's obvious he is passionate about his music and faith combined.

LeVox is passionate about sharing his faith with a world that is in need of hope. The entire album is about the hope found through the Cross. Always present, God encourages us to not give up and continue to hope- even in the midst of difficult times.

LeVox wants his readers to know that God has influenced his music career and continues to inspire him as he moves forward with this new adventure: When asked about his faith influence while on Rascal Flatts, LeVox responded, “I feel like God graced us with a platform where we can not only touch people’s lives through music, but by being men of God offstage too, At those times when we are with fans that are going through something like cancer, it is so wonderful to not only sing for them but to hold their hand and pray with them. I want them to know that they have a friend in me. I’m not just some guy on the stage. I feel like Christ has put me in this position because He knew I could handle the obligation, which often means taking the time to lift someone up in prayer.”

The entire world needs to hear this message right now: don't give up, have hope, have faith. LeVox's album encourages us to open our hearts and minds to experience something new, to experience God's love in and through our faith.

Father and Daughter Duo share their struggles waiting for God's hope in the midst of challenges this life brings.

These voices combine to create a sensational song confessing selfishness while looking for God's love. The Gospel Country Sway is inspirational with its message and music.

5. The Distance

Levox's Vocal Tracks make this song of keeping hope and faith surely shows that he is trusting God's promises will lead him forth into a new adventure- and lead his listeners on a journey they won't regret.
