A cup of Sherpa Chai is like a lazy afternoon relaxing in a hammock. It can be enjoyed hot or cold, any time of year. So, kick back, slow down, and join me on my front porch for a cup of tea this spring.

Chai is a traditional Nepali black tea made with a mixture of spices and herbs, served with milk (or milk substitute). It requires patience, diligence, and an experienced touch to produce a delicious Chai. Chai recipes are often family secrets, passed down from generation to generation, each with its own special ingredients, and Sherpa Chai is no different!

My family enjoys ordering chai at coffee shops and we purchase some from various stores to enjoy at home, but I no longer need to spend the money. We have absolutely fallen in love with Sherpa Chai! We were able to try the Traditional, Spicy, and Honey Vanilla.

The Traditional Chai is just what it should be with its organic ingredients such as Nepali Black Tea, Vegan Cane Sugar, Hand Pressed Peruvian Ginger, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Cardamom, and Cloves. It was quite tasty with a bit of a kick to the aftertaste.

The Spicy Chai has the addition of cayenne to its recipe. This was my husband's favorite. He said it is sweet but has a bite with the cayenne. He likes it for the nutritional value and anti-inflammatory properties cayenne and ginger bring to it. I almost didn't get to try it, he enjoyed it so much. I too enjoyed the kick from the cayenne.

Honey Vanilla Chai was a sweeter version and more like what I have purchased in coffee shops as a latte. The inclusion of honey and vanilla give it a smooth flavor. My children absolutely adored this one. They liked it both hot and cold.
