Although this year has had many 'low points', there have been a few positive things to come out of the chaos. One of those positive things, for me, was the opportunity to put more focus into my self-care routine. At first, it was small steps-drinking lots of water and eating more fruits & vegetables. Now, I am trying some things I've only recently heard about- like using acupressure mats and now, dry brushing. 


Until a few months ago, I had never heard of dry brushing, or as it's sometimes called, body brushing. Once I read about it online, I was pretty interested in finding out more information, There are so many opinions on the topic (some positive, others not so much), so I thought the best thing would be to just try it out myself. Our friends at Prana Brush were kind enough to send me a Sisal Body Brush to use and so far I'm really enjoying the results I've noticed since I began using it.

A Little Insight on Dry Brushing from Prana Brush

Why I'm Loving It!


Would you get a load of those bristles! I was a little overwhelmed because of how stiff they looked, but this brush is amazing!


Because I am newer to dry brushing I have only been using my Sisal Body Brush every 2 days- in the mornings before my shower (based on the suggestion available on the PB website). 
In the time I've been using it I've noticed:
- My skin is less dry and itchy, it feels much smoother to the touch
- My morning energy levels are higher than they have been since....well, I can't remember a time I've had high energy in the morning
- My body doesn't "absorb" cold the way it used to (improved circulation?).
