I was born at the tail end of the 70s (October '79), which means I grew up in one of the greatest decades ever- the 1980s! We had it all then, the best music, TV shows, movies, and OF COURSE toys!  I'm about (almost) all things '80 and super sentimental, so when I heard about a product called RetroViewer, my interest was piqued and then some! 

You may or may not be familiar with the name Rich Dubnow, but you are likely familiar with much of his work. He was the lead photographer at View-Master for 20 years! 

In 1997 Rich founded Image3D in his home, with the idea of personalized the iconice 3D viewers and since then, the company has grown from a kitchen table operation to a state-of-the-art facility producing custom-made 3D experiences for everyone. 

Using reels and viewers as marketing and promotional tools for businesses, Image3D made the decision to expand into the general consumer market. In 2012 it's "Celebrate" website was launched, allowing customers to make their own custom reels and viewers. 

 In 2015 the company re-branded the program of personalized reels to RetroViewer. In 2016 a mobile version of the website was launched in response to customer demand. 

Image3D sent us our very own RetroViewer and I loved it as soon as I opened the box. It's just like the popular toy from my childhood! RetroViewer has the edge here though, since you are able to easily customize the reels using your own photos! 

I set to work on creating reels with a few pictures of our family for Matt, but before long I was considering making a few to give as gifts to family members. You know the expression "I fell down the rabbit hole"? Well, I definitely did just that, trying to go through so many pictures, each capturing different milestones and precious moments in our lives. I know everyone in the family is going to be super excited about this gift!
