Being a Maryland to North Carolina transplant, sometimes my heart feels as though it resides in two different locations on the map.

I think we can all relate to this sentiment in one way or another. Most of us have family or friends that live in a different state and as much as we may love where we live, we miss those we love.

One of the ways I have tried to keep my Maryland roots alive and well is through various artwork within my home.

Displaying MD and NC artwork in my home lets those who visit know that I hold these two places dear.

When someone comes to visit and notices a particular piece of artwork in your home that represents a city, state or landmark, chances are they will ask you about it. You may have an opportunity to retell a story and share a memory that will in turn build a connection with someone.

At the end of the day, building relationships with people is at the core of who we are as a human race and Point Two Design has enabled me to bring some amazing artwork into my home to do just that.
