Happy Saturday, friends! For the record, today is Saturday, May 2, 2020. We've made it through another week of distance learning and social distancing and we've welcomed a new month!

Here in Connecticut we are still anxiously awaiting to hear an official announcement of whether or not the kids will be going back to school this year.  So many school districts around the country have decided that the school buildings would remain closed for the rest of the year and I am sure our districts will decide the same. Not having a definite answer is causing additional stress for me, and I'm sure every other parent out there.

The girls have both been doing fairly well with their distance learning. Teachers in our area are doing an incredible job and I'm so appreciative of the way they are adapting to this entire situation and making things as pleasant as they can for the students in our area. 

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week and I hope every single teacher gets the recognition and appreciation they deserve! 

In addition to trying to find a creative way to thank the teachers in my girls' lives, this weekend we'll be spending as much time as we can OUTSIDE! It's been rainy the last few days and I want to soak up some sun. I'm hoping to head to one of my favorite places, Southford Falls. Here's hoping not too many other people have the same idea!
