Level-Up Your Stay at Home Time with SONIC The Hedgehog- Now Available

Thanks to NBC/Universal for providing me with a screener link for review. All thoughts are my own.

Tired of staying home? I get it- we're going on week five of staying home & following local government's Stay at Home Order. It's rough, no doubt. In our house, there are four of us, all trying to live together while working, playing, and navigating school online. Last week and part of this week, we've been enjoying spring break. My hubby and I have still been working, but the kids have had more leisure time, so we've been trying to make the most of their free time by enjoying family activities.

We've definitely been taking advantage of all of the awesome movies that have been made available to watch at home. My kids had the pleasure of seeing SONIC The Hedgehog when it was in theatres, and it was a huge hit with them. They've been eagerly awaiting its digital release so they could see it again.

My husband and I grew up in the age of Sonic and SEGA, so this was a nostalgic treat for us o be able to see a video game character that we grew up with come to life on the big screen. When I learned that Jim Carrey was playing Doctor Robotnik, I knew the film was going to be fun. We're not used to seeing him play someone so sinister (okay, The Grinch, I remember), but he was fantastic in this role.

James Marsden is one of those heartthrobs from my teen years, though he's about ten years my senior. It was great to see him in a new role- he's easy on the eyes & was the perfect choice for Tom.

Ben Schwartz voices the iconic SONIC, and what can I say? He's an extremely talented actor, writer, producer, and one of my all-time favorite characters from the hit TV series, Parks & Recreation, playing Jean-Ralphio Saperstein. Knowing that he voiced SONIC made it 100x more fun for me to watch!

SONIC The Hedgehog is a really fun family movie night pick!

In our house, we range in age from four to thirty-seven, so sometimes, it can be hard to find movies that we will all watch together, and enjoy it. Hubby and I wanted to watch SONIC because we love the character and loved playing SONIC video games. The kids loved the first time they saw it, and loved it even more the second time!

B's thoughts:

From a nine-year-old's perspective, this movie is the jam!
'The movie is close to the original game. It's really cool, and lots of fun! I love the drones and of course, love watching SONIC zoom on screen!'

You can bring SONIC to your home TV screen, too!
