Our Day Out With Thomas: The Steam Team Tour 2019

North Carolina and South Carolina locals, looking for plans for your littles this weekend, take a trip to Spencer, NC for a visit with Thomas the Tank and friends.

Join Thomas the Tank Engine, Percy and Sir Topham Hatt as they chug into the station at the North Carolina Transportation Museum. Thomas and friends will be at the museum for one more weekend {October 4-6} before heading out. The event lasts from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

We took a visit to Thomas last weekend and our girls loved it! We also brought my niece along for this fun trip! We arrived about an hour before our scheduled ride time and boy were the girls excited! Upon arrival, the girls were given a passport and their tickets. If you paid a visit to all the areas on the passport, you got a prize at the end. Unfortunately, my oldest is not a fan of the heat and it just happened to be above 90 the day we went, so we did not complete the passport.

Right before we boarded the train, the conductor met us! Our oldest was thrilled to meet him.

Once aboard the train, we waited about 15 minutes with several other energetically excited passengers before starting our ride. During the ride music played and children received a certificate for riding. We also passed Percy along the way! The ride was about 20 minutes long, which was perfect timing for the littles who started to get antsy.

After our train ride we took an opportunity to go check out Thomas up close and personal. We also took the opportunity to get a picture.

"Tickets are $20 Fridays, $22 weekends, ages 2 and up. Event tickets include all site activities and one train ride with Thomas. You can purchase tickets onsite with cash or debit. Combination Thomas & Percy Caboose Train tickets are $28 Fridays, $32 weekends. Percy Caboose Train tickets are only available as a combination ticket with your Day Out With Thomas™ ticket.

I highly recommend making a day out of this with your littles! The weather will be perfect this weekend and there is so much to do at this event, including model train layouts, face painting, storytelling, bubbles, music and magic! Rain or Shine, Thomas and friends will see you there!
