Fun Places to Visit with the Kids When Vacationing in London

London is calling and it’s time for a family vacation that you are sure to remember for a very long time. London is a bustling city with no shortage of sights, but just how long will it be before the kids are tired of traipsing the streets and looking for something else to do? Here are some especially kid-friendly places to visit in between marveling at Big Ben and Buckingham Palace.

Bachelor's Acre
This lovely little park was designed to provide families with the ultimate day out. It is particularly enjoyable during the summertime when ice cream is being served in abundance and colorful butterflies are flitting around in the sunshine. The playground is fully equipped with everything an adventurous child could wish for and the café is a great choice if you’re in the mood for a light meal. Prefer something a little heartier, like a mouthwatering burger or flavorful rack of ribs? Head over to thecornerhousepub.co.uk just a few minutes down the road for a classic British food and beer experience that the kids are sure to appreciate too (minus the booze, of course!)
Madame Tussauds
Children of all ages will have a blast exploring the Madame Tussauds wax museum and ‘meeting' some of their favorite movie characters, like Spiderman and Harry Potter. Did you know that the museum now features in excess of 300 figures and 14 interactive areas?
KidZania
KidZania is essentially an indoor city that allows children from ages 4 – 14 to immerse themselves in thrilling real-life activities and experiences. It is geared toward allowing them to explore a variety of different careers, from firefighting to flying a plane and everything in between.
SEA LIFE Aquarium
Now is your opportunity to get the kids excited about marine animals and learning all that there is to know about the ocean. The aquarium is one of the largest in the world and boasts one of the most impressive collections, so there is no way they are going to complain of boredom any time soon. Let the glass tunnel walkway be your guide and be sure to partake in the various interactive activities, such as discovery zones and touch pools. You may even be lucky enough to feed some hungry stingrays!
Go Ape
This one is for those kids who just can’t seem to sit still. Unleash their energetic inner monkey at Go Ape in London. The adventure park quite literally allows them to swing from the trees and shoot across the landscape on epic zip wires.
Coram's Fields

When the weather allows for It, Coram's Fields is the ultimate kids’ hot spot, and unlike many other attractions, it really is suitable for all ages. There are plenty of daring slides, a cuddly pets corner, a splash pool, a zip wire, and sandpits galore. The lawns stretch as far as you can see, making an ideal opportunity to settle down for a few hours, enjoy the fresh air, and perhaps indulge in a family picnic London-style.
