Secret Life of Pets 2 explores the emotional lives of our pets, the deep bond between them, the families that love them and answers the question: What are your pets really doing when you’re not at home? This movie was definitely the hit of the summertime for our family. It's one of the movies I most looked forward to seeing and gave me the perfect reason to take the dates on a date. Now that we're able to watch this amazing movie at home, we're having lots of family movie nights!

I was so excited to put The Secret Life of Pets BluRay out for my kiddos to see after school!

The Secret Life of Pets 2 explores the emotional lives of our pets, the deep bond between them, the families that love them and answers the question: What are your pets really doing when you’re not at home? Terrier Max (Patton Oswalt) is coping with major life changes after Katie’s marriage and the arrival of a toddler, Liam. Meanwhile, Gidget (Jenny Slate) tries to rescue Max’s favorite toy from a cat-packed apartment with a little help from her feline friend, Chloe (Lake Bell), who has discovered the joys of catnip. And Snowball (Kevin Hart) believes, despite the other pets’ teasing, that he’s a superhero after his owner starts dressing him in superhero pajamas. But when Daisy (Tiffany Haddish), a fearless Shih Tzu, shows up to ask for Snowball’s help on a dangerous mission, he’ll have to summon the courage to become the hero he’s been pretending to be.

Our favorite family movie night of the summer!

We couldn't wait to watch The Secret Life of Pets 2 at home! Hubby hadn't seen it yet, so he was excited to see the follow up to one of our favorite animated movies. As parents, this movie really resonated with me and Sacha. Of course, we love the action and excitement surrounding the pets, but the addition of a toddler/preschooler to the family made it all the more relatable.

The kiddos, of course, love all of the pets. Little Bean even picked out Secret Life of Pets 2 'big girl undies' when we went to do our back to school shopping. My girl has been wearing her Max and Gidgit undies every day! We love the different storylines throughout the movie, and voice cast for this movie is absolutely fantastic. Hubby is a huge Harrison Ford fan, so he loved hearing him as Rooster. Tiffany Haddish had me laughing a lot, too.

While the movie is sweet, I also love how the characters work together, promote kindness and love for all, overcoming life's obstacles, and being courageous.

The film features an all-star voice cast including Patton Oswalt (TV’s “A.P. Bio”), Kevin Hart (Ride Along Series), Eric Stonestreet (TV’s Modern Family), Jenny Slate (Despicable Me 3), Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip), Lake Bell (TV’s Children’s Hospital), Nick Kroll (Sing), Dana Carvey (Wayne’s World), Ellie Kemper (TV’s “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), Hannibal Buress (Neighbors series), Bobby Moynihan (TV’s “Saturday Night Live”) and Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones franchise) in his first-ever role in an animated film as new farm dog, Rooster.
