Ah, swimsuit season. Most women either love it or hate it and if you're a woman who's struggled with body image, swimsuit season is probably on your list of most detested things ever. Since the birth of my daughter, I have struggled to get back to and maintain my pre-baby weight. Unless I am exercising non-stop and starving myself of foods I really love (ahem... sweets), I'm probably reaching pretty far to try to get back to that weight. My new goal is to be healthy- both mentally and physically. I'm tackling the mental health side first and then I'll work on maintaining a healthy body again.

For this mom, who wanted nothing less than to don a bathing suit in April, I knew I had to do it for my kids. Spring break at the beach just isn't the same if the whole family isn't bathing suit-clad and sand-covered. I didn't want to spend hours in fitting rooms, only to wind up frustrated and empty-handed this swimsuit season, which is why I chose to order bathing suits (for the first time ever) online from Tempt Me.

When I laid eyes on Tempt Me's one-shoulder scrunched tankini, I was instantly drawn to its unique style. Padded push-up bras and adjustable one shoulder straps are perfect for moms or conservative young ladies. The strap goes across the chest and the cut of the top is asymmetrical, adding cute elements to the swimsuits, which also fits perfectly and is appropriate for wearing anywhere that you will be with people without showing too much. This suit is available in several colors. I love the green but would love to have this suit in other colors, too.

Ruffle Off Shoulder Two Piece Suit ($25.99)

The other suit that I tried and love is this adorable ruffle off shoulder two-piece. This was my first time trying out a high-waisted bottom, and I love, love, love it. All of my mama friends know what's up when I say the coverage is amazing. It lets me show a little bit of my stomach and covers the part I'd rather keep under wraps.

The ruffled swim top is also really cute. It sits on the shoulders, secured with two over the shoulder straps, and the ruffles fall across the chest and arms. It's a sassy suit and perfect for anyone looking for something a little bit different this season.

Both of the swimsuits that I chose are super convenient for breastfeeding. Those days are behind me, but it's still something I like to keep in mind when looking for clothing that other moms might want to try. Both suits wore incredibly well and stayed in place both on the beach and in the pool, though the green suit wound up being my favorite of the two, simply because it allowed me to move faster in the pool.
