I always wanted a little girl to dress up. I can vividly remember happily dressing up my Barbie dolls, baby dolls, and loving to play dress up myself when I was a little girl. My sweet Bean just turned three years old recently, and I have to say, she absolutely shares her mom's love for all things girly. From clothes and shoes to accessories and handbags, she loves it all. I'm a little bit on cloud 9 in that regard, especially since I have an eight-year-old boy who is all boy and lives in activewear.

When my son was little, I couldn't wait to introduce him to my favorite Disney movies (most of them involved princesses). To my dismay, he just wasn't into them and wanted to watch and play with monster trucks most of the time. I grew up with a sister, who mostly love what I loved, so the boy world was a new realm for me once I had one to call my own. After years of sports, cars, planes, trucks, and pirates, we added a princess to our family, and she's given the royal title an all new meaning ever since.

Since I do have a girl to play dress up with, I'll go ahead and admit to you that shopping for little girl's clothing and accessories is pretty addictive... even more so when you find a boutique you absolutely love and adore. We're looking forward to seeing Bean wear this outfit when we visit the aquarium on our summer beach trip, to birthday parties, and of course- for regular dress up and pretend play at home with mommy!
