Happy Saturday, friends! I hope you all enjoyed the first week of April and are looking forward to the awesome things this weekend might be bringing. For our little family, the awesome things are looking like some projects (arts and crafts for the kids and home improvement for the parents) for today and a show tomorrow!
I'm not excited about today's (adult) projects. Matt and I have to replace a broken tile in the shower and after that is settled we have to work on a siding and window issue we discovered the other day. I feel bad about these projects because Matt works so hard all week long, but he'll likely end up taking on most of the work today because I am completely lost when it comes to almost any home improvement project. His handiness is both a gift and a curse. Maybe both projects will be quick and easy and we'll be able to just get them handled and then enjoy some of the fun arts and crafts stuff the girls will be doing.
Tomorrow, we are heading to R's school (and D's old school) to catch the play, Mary Poppins Jr. I've been able to catch a few sneak peeks of the play and, as usual, the kids give such amazing performances. I am feeling a little sad about the fact that D won't be in this production (since she's moved onto middle school), but we're all excited to go show our support for the cast!
