Visiting London? Try These Activities!

London truly is one of the most vibrant, fun places on earth. It is packed to the rafters with cool things to do and exciting activities to try out.

If you want to make the most out of a visit to England’s capital, then you should definitely consider putting the activities below onto your trip itinerary.

Check out an art exhibition

For lovers of art, especially, London is perfect. There are museums to be found all over the city, one of the best being the V&A. This is a museum that has received world-class status, as it champions the very pinnacle of decorative design.

Upon a visit to the V&A, you should check out the fascinating exhibits in the South Ken museum — they are free to gain entry to, and even include an intriguing pet cemetery. You should also check out the infamous all-porcelain courtyard. If you want to see some of the more in-demand exhibitions, such as ‘Frida Kahlo: Making Her Self Up’ exhibition, then you need to get in early as they often see out.

Another museum that you could head to, especially if your goal is to spend as little as you can, is the world-renowned Tate Modern. This riverside icon, located on the South Bank, partners the Tate Britain, only the Modern is far more appealing to younger, hipper crowds.

Hang out in Kew Gardens

For lovers of nature and history and modern installations alike, Kew Gardens is absolutely perfect.

For one, it plays host to ‘The Hive,’ an intriguing installation of sound and light that can only be triggered by bees. Also, it is filled with rare plants and Victorian glasshouses, meaning everybody is sure to enjoy something upon a visit here.

Catch a show

There are plenty of places to see a live-performance show in London, meaning, no matter where you stay in the city, you’ll always have the opportunity to catch one.

Of course, if you’re serious about shows, then you should head to the mecca of musicals: the West End. If you’re particularly fascinated by the works of Shakespeare, then his infamous Thameside Globe should be high on your to-do list — this will be as close as you can get to experiencing the genius of the Bard. Or, if you enjoy circus entertainment above all else, you could even enjoy Cirque Du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall or Circus 1903 at the Royal Festival Hall — these particular nights out in London need not cost an arm and a leg, as, thanks to Encore Tickets, massive savings can be made on them.

Browse around Carnaby Street

If you want to try a different shopping experience to those found on Oxford and Regent Streets, then you should head just around the corner to Carnaby Street. Here, you’ll find all manner of weird and wonderful boutique goods.

When you begin browsing around here, you’ll soon be wondering where your day has gone, you’ll be that enthralled!
