Keep Yourself Cool and Caffeinated This Back to School Season with the Dash Rapid Cold Brew System- #Review

Thank you to StoreBound for providing me with this product in exchange for my review. All thoughts and opinions shared in this post are my own!

It's funny how different waking up at 6am is from waking up at 7:30 am. Not funny, ha-ha, funny strange. I'm not sure I have ever felt so tired. That's including all of the sleepless moments from when the girls were infants, teething, or sick.

This year, D started 6th grade. Instead of having to be at school by 9:05am, like she has been for the last 4 years, she now has to be to school by 7:20am. She has been doing a great job getting up and doing her thing as soon as her alarm clock goes off.

I, on the other hand, barely hear my (3) alarms and I am certainly not up and at 'em as soon as they go off. I've been spending the hour or so that we have before her bus arrives making sure she eats breakfast, double checking that she completed and packed her homework from the night before, making sure she has whatever else she might need for the day, and making sure that her clothes are ready. We also chat for a bit, mostly about how she thinks her day is going to go and how many times she thinks she'll be able to get her locker open on her own. Meanwhile, I am pining away for my first cup of coffee, which I'll make after she leaves so I can sit and enjoy it before having to run R to school, just over an hour and a half later.

Usually, by the time I return from dropping R off, I'm ready for my second cup of coffee, but I try to hold off until at least 10:30am, since I don't want to be super jittery. Because it's been really hot and humid these last couple of days, the last thing that I want is a hot cup of coffee. Thankfully, we have the Dash Rapid Cold Brew System, and I can make my own cold-brewed coffee in as little as 5 minutes!

My First Cold-Brewed Coffee!

What the Heck is Cold-Brewed Coffee Anyway?

Here's how Dash explains it:

"Cold brew vs. iced coffee –what's the big deal? The lowdown is simple. Iced coffee is just coffee brewed hot, then cooled and poured over ice. Because brewing hot coffee can release bitter or acidic oils, iced coffee often has an undesirable flavor. Cold brew is the better-looking, more talented cousin of iced coffee."

Our Experience...

I have been using the Dash Rapid Cold Brew system for a few weeks now and it is one of my all-time favorite kitchen appliances! I'm relieved that I don't have to wait hours for a "traditional" cold-brewed coffee because this magical machine allows me to make my own in as little as 5 minutes! I'm also feeling pretty happy about not spending money on iced coffee at my (former) preferred coffee shop.

This machine is so easy to use and easy to care for. The only downside, and it's so small, is that you have to handwash everything. That, to me, is a small price to pay for something that has been helping make my days so wonderful.

I am still in the process of finding my perfect brew. So far my cold-brews have either been a little too strong, entirely too weak, or so close (to perfect). No drop goes to waste, though. I brew a pot, make a cup, make a few ice cubes, and leave the rest in the fridge to enjoy over the next few days!

Mmmm....coffee cubes!

Want It? Get It!

If you love iced coffee, you definitely should give cold-brewed coffee a try. Go on and gift yourself a Dash Rapid Cold Brew System, I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I have.
You can find them at Amazon, Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, and even Home Depot!
