Hit the Books in Style with Sleek Eyewear from DiscountGlasses.com + $100.00 Gift Code #Giveaway

This is a sponsored conversation on behalf of DiscountGlasses.com. All thoughts are my own.

When I was in the seventh grade, I started to struggle to see the blackboard in the classroom. Handwriting that used to appear clearly was suddenly all squiggly, and everything else began to appear blurry. I had the same trouble with watching television, reading road signs, or anything that was further away than just a few feet in front of me. My mom took me to the eye doctor, and I was prescribed my first pair of glasses. In an instant, everything became clear, and I was back on track in school in no time.

The new school year is starting soon, and while we're busy buying school supplies and new lunch boxes, it's easy to forget about eye care. Your kiddos probably have their vision checked (as mine do) at their annual well checkups. If not, it's definitely not something to overlook! An annual eye exam is a great idea for adults, too. My vision has worsened, slightly over the years, so I am in constant need of corrective lenses. I wear contacts and have glasses. My husband also wears glasses, and you wouldn't believe the types of things that we go through with our lenses, causing us to constantly shell out our hard earned money so we can see properly!

A funny thing happened during lunch...

These poor glasses are never to be seen again.

A few years ago, I was enjoying a harmless lunch with my husband and son at a restaurant. My son (3 years old at the time) needed to use the restroom, so my hubby promptly escorted him from the table. When they came back, my son was in tears, my husband was noticeably irritated, and I realized that hubby's glasses were missing. Turns out, his very expensive, flexible framed glasses were knocked into the toilet by our son and auto-flushed down the toilet- never to be seen again! Needless to say, we learned our lesson about buying expensive glasses... or so we thought!

These lenses also took an unfortunate hit!

Last year, our gorgeous daughter knocked hubby's glasses off of his face after a doctor's appointment and sent them crashing to the asphalt. This resulted in chipped and scratched lenses. Yikes! We don't have a good track record, here! We've finally wised up & discovered an inexpensive solution to our eyewear woes, thanks to DiscountGlasses.com.

Save money & get the stylish eyewear looks you love from DiscountGlasses.com!

DiscountGlasses.com makes it easy to find stylish glasses for reading, distance, or whatever your prescription may call for. There are hundreds of styles available for men, women & kiddos! Just select who you want to find glasses for, and go from there. You can even shop by frame type, shape, and color! There are tons of top brands to choose from, like Westend, Lunettos, Picklez, and more!

Hubby and I wear glasses for different reasons- his are for reading, and mine are for distance. He can quickly check out a huge selection of reading glasses, and find affordable styles he loves. The high quality and low prices make it easy for him to choose a couple of pairs at a time, so he always has a spare pair lying around in case of a glasses disaster (see above!).

I love having a variety of sunglasses to choose from (I have very sensitive eyes, prone to allergies, and need to keep them protected from the sun). Some of my favorite brands and designers are available, all in one easy to shop website! Wow! And the prices? You can't beat them! They're incredible!

My kiddos don't need glasses (yet), but these are simply adorable, and right around $25.00! I love the selection of kids glasses at DiscountGlasses.com! If my kids wind up needing eyewear, this is where I'll be shopping for them.

For students of all ages who need to be on the computer or a tablet, you should definitely look into a pair of blue light banishing glasses! Protect your peepers from eye strain and macular degeneration with computer glasses—it's easy as A, B, C.

  11. I remember when my daughter was little she had to have a rolling Bratz backpack. So I got the backpack lol... first rolling backpack she owned in grade school and she loved it. However, soon her doll collection took up residence in the backpack as their "home" and we had to respect that haha so she ended up using a regular backpack for the rest of the year.
