5 Delicious Ways to Enjoy Bananas- Tasty Tuesday

One of our favorite fruits to enjoy, year-round, is the banana. I buy multiple bunches at a time and the girls and I usually use them up within the week. I enjoy them for breakfast alone, on top of pancakes, or even in my cereal or oatmeal. Sometimes, buying too many bananas at one time does lead to them getting over-ripe on the counter, but we've not had that problem for a while with these 5 delicious ways to enjoy bananas!

1. Sliced and Frozen-  This is my favorite way to enjoy bananas in the summer. I slice one or two up right after we get them home and store them in small plastic containers in the freezer. It's a plain old banana, but it tastes like a sweet treat!

2. In a Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich-  I know this sounds weird, but they are so tasty. Elvis was so wise! If you can't enjoy them with peanut butter for allergy reasons, I'm sure a sandwich with a pb substitute would taste pretty great too.

3. Added to Your Favorite Shake- I'm currently enjoying adding bananas to my "Rich Chocolate" Espira Plant Power Protein shakes. I cut them into chunks or use some of my frozen sliced bananas for a tasty treat.

4. Baked in Banana Bread or Muffins- One of my favorite aromas is baking/freshly baked banana bread. It seems everyone has a favorite recipe, but if you don't feel free to check out this Banana Chocolate Chip Bread recipe.

5.Covered in Chocolate- My mom has enjoyed chocolate covered bananas from our favorite local ice cream shop for as long as I can remember. I vividly remember the summer walks around the corner from my Grams' house. While my sisters and I were excited about getting our ice cream cones, my mom was equally excited for her favorite summertime treat.

Do you love bananas as much as we do? What are some of your favorite ways to enjoy them? Leave a comment and let us know!
