It seems like I have been searching for the perfect pair of sunglasses for years. Every time I purchase a pair, they break within a couple of months! I never really knew what quality eyewear felt like until GUNNAR! With Father's Day quickly approaching, I have the perfect gift idea for the special man (or men) in your life!

As much as I think Gunnar is the perfect gift idea for Father's Day, I am enjoying these eyewear pieces myself! Gunnar is a company that not only makes super stylish sunglasses, but also special glasses that protect your eyes from harmful computer and screen lights. 

Blue light from screens can be harmful to your eyes with long-term exposure. Gunnar eyewear has developed technology that protects your eyes from these harmful lights.

*Over exposure to blue light from screens disrupts melatonin production and sleep patterns.

*Blue light from screen exposure has been linked to retinal damage, cataracts, and Macular degeneration.

*Visible blue light is very high energy and exposure to it is very exhausting to the eyes.

*Over-saturation of blue light can decrease visual acuity and make focusing difficult.

*Blue light has been shown to induce photochemical damage to the retina and macula that causes oxidative stress on the eyes.

I don't know about you, but I just did NOT know all of these facts about blue light and the damage it can cause. Learning about Gunnar has been somewhat of a wakeup call for me to care more about protecting my eyes! We only get one set of eyes and it needs to be more of a priority to take proper care of them.

Being a blogger, I spend a lot of time in front of my laptop screen and truly never realized the strain that my eyes were experiencing. I began to present symptoms of eye strain that actually scared me. Knowing what I know now, I do not want to risk damage to my eyes!
