Today, we celebrate the dads, the moms pulling mom and dad duty, and the men who stepped up to be a dad to kids that needed a dad.
What makes a dad?
A dad is a person who spends his time teaching his kids right from wrong. Dad shows his kids the way the world is and what life teaches them. Dad shows you these things through experiences such as playtime, helping to get your first job, teaching you how to mow the lawn, or even just learning about cars.
I have been blessed with strong male role models in my life. My dad has always been there for me when I needed him. We have differences of opinion and sometimes he makes me nuts, but he has been supportive in everything I do.
My husband is the best father I could ask for. He is present and open-minded to my style of parenting but also makes the best decisions when it comes to the well-being and safety of our kids. He is supportive of both of our children; emotionally and financially. Most of all he loves our children not because he has to but because he wants to. He is an awesome provider for all areas of our lives.
My brother in law is a wonderful provider to his family. He works 14 plus hours a day to provide nieces with a great life and time with their mom. He works outside the home so my sister can work inside the home and be an ever-present parent and caregiver to her girls. He would move heaven and earth to make it so.
Thank all you Dads. We are so grateful to share the parenting journey with you.
