April 12th: Drop Everything and Read Day

Reading is my favorite past time and if I could I would drop everything to read a book today.
I know people that do not like reading but to me there is a world to explore and characters to meet.

In the state of Connecticut, you can visit any library and borrow books.  As an avid reader this is an incredible way to find new books and to travel.  This extends to books on cd, ebooks, and physical books.  How can I not be in heaven?
Our local library is currently having a passport contest in which any reader can visit participating libraries and collect a stamp and win a $150.00 card- just for visiting the libraries. As a recent college graduate, I put personal reading on hold until I graduated, but now I am back at it. I am challenging myself to read more and give myself the opportunity to explore.  I am using Goodreads as a tracking application and challenging myself to read 100 books this year.  I am currently at 44.
