Hit the Mat in Style: Good Citizen Pilates Apparel + Baseball Tee #Giveaway #MBPVDAY18

Thanks to Good Citizen for providing me with product in exchange for my review. All thoughts shared are my own.

The urge to work out doesn't come naturally to me. Growing up, I dreaded gym class. I was lucky enough to have a high metabolism that allowed me to eat whatever I wanted to without having to work hard to maintain a slim figure. After my husband and I got married, I seemed to gain the 'Freshman Fifteen' that I never gained in college, thanks to things like BCPs, enjoying lots of comfort food and cheap eats as newlyweds on a budget, etc. Flash forward ten years, and we're two kids into the parenting game, and my body has been through the wringer.

What's Pilates Got to Do with It?

I've struggled with body image issues for the majority of my adult life. For years, I wouldn't allow a scale in our house over fear of obsessing about my weight. I gained plenty of extra weight during both of my pregnancies, and the second time around, I have struggled to lose that baby weight. I am slowly working my way back to where I was pre-Baby S, but I have a little ways yet to go.

One of the combinations that works well and quickly for me is to maintain a low carb diet with Pilates 3-4 times a week. I love Pilates because it targets all of my 'problem areas, ' and helps me tone up fast! Just 10-20 minutes a day will give you amazing results, and if I slack off, I see visible results in as little as 1 week.

Good Citizen

Pilates isn't for everyone, but I enjoy it because it's low impact. I can target my core, my arms & legs without running, and still burn calories. I recently found Good Citizen, which was the first company to market in 2015 with the personal Pilates loops and branched out to Pilates lifestyle products the following year. They are helping to make Pilates cleaner and a little more fun and stylish for Pilates lovers.

I'm stepping up my Pilates game, and doing so in style, thanks to Good Citizen's stylish Pilates apparel.

I am no stranger to proudly displaying my love for Pilates. Whether I'm hitting the mat at home, heading to a class, or just keeping it casual on the weekends, I have no prob letting others know that Pilates shapes my body. Good Citizen sent me two fantastic pieces of clothing- a tank and a baseball tee, both perfect for helping me transition from this dreary winter to a sunny spring and hot summer!

The Pilates Babe Baseball Tee is Perfect for Springtime...

Cropped Jeans- Vera Wang
Shoes- Unstitched Utilities

The weather in NC has been totally crazy lately. Last week, we were in the 30's, and this past weekend, we topped out in the 70's! Couple those mild temps with drizzly rain, and you have the perfect day to keep it comfy in a cozy baseball tee. I love this Pilates Babe Baseball Tee! It's so super soft and comfortable. It has a sweet smooch along with the Pilates Babe text + Good Citizen logo. It looks great with jeans, shorts, with yoga pants, etc. Throw it on over your tank when you're headed to the gym, or just wear it out and about as is like I did!

Pilates Strong

Set a good example of living a healthy life for future generations.

Pilates helps me strengthen my upper body, back & arms. I definitely couldn't lift and hold onto these two cuties for more than a couple of minutes if I didn't regularly work to strengthen and tone those muscles. These two little angels (Baby S on the left, and my niece *M* on the right) aren't light as air, though having hips does help!

Hit the Mat in Style...

Ready to work! In the past, I've struggled to find the motivation to work out regularly, but I know that I feel better overall when I make the effort to do so. I'm tackling 2018 like a boss and am all set to conquer & meet my goals. Pilates helps me stay focused, and having the right work out apparel makes it much more comfortable to get down on the mat and get to work.

The I Love Pilates Tank from Good Citizen is crazy comfortable, and perfect for workouts, Target runs w/messy buns, or just hanging out in any day of the week.
I'm wearing the Small- just to give you an idea of the fit and sizing.
Grab this tank in multiple colors for just $30.00.

  11. Favorite workouts besides walking.. PiYo. Many think it is not a tough workout. I beg to differ. I have seen men and women come in thinking it was a piece of cake then either leaving before the class is done or never seeing them again.
